  1. Payments with Authorize.net may fail if details contain certain characters.

    Authorize.net appears to be encoding their responses in an extended latin character set such as Windows-1252. Our URL decoder assumes UTF-8 encoding and will error out when it's given an invalid code point such as %A0 (non-breaking space in 1252).

    One way to trigger this is to provide a transaction description with two spaces in a row, where the second space will be encoded as a non-breaking space. Another way is to use extended ASCII characters in the user's first or last name, such as any vowel with a diacritic.

  2. Web payments with Paypal may record double payments.

    This is a timing issue with the aeon.dll so it can't be easily reproduced.

    When a payment has been completed with PayPal, it will send both a PDT response (an immediate response that redirects the user back to your page with payment confirmation details) and an IPN response (which is sent directly from PayPal to your server and can ensure you're notified of a successful payment even if the customer immediately closes their browser after completing payment on PayPal's site). The order and timing of these notifications is not guaranteed.

  4. Billing options that contain a double quote character cause the billing option dropdowns to be empty in the web.

  5. PayEEZY payments fail if the charge amount is less than $1

    The validation of the PayEEZY relay response will fail because the composite string that is hashed expects a leading zero on the charge amount.

  6. The PayPal CreditCardPayment.html page will not properly submit payments in the Aeon 5.0 Web Pages

    This feature specific web page was not updated with the new Aeon web pages in 5.0. Atlas is working on updating the feature-specific web pages. Please contact support at support@atlas-sys.com if you have any questions or need assistance updating and implementing these pages.
