ItemTracking and ItemHistory tables broken in Ares 5.0 Custom Searches
When performing a custom search in Ares 5.0 using either the Items.ItemTracking or Items.ItemHistory table, the search fails and throws a "could not be bound" error in the logs.

Instructor tags field is not displaying in the Client
Both instructor and personal tags that are added via the web's batch tag editor feature only show on the webpages.
This is what we have found:
-Batch Instructor tags show on course info page and show details page
-Batch Personal tags show on the course info page, but not the show details page
-Tags added to items individually via the web do show in both course info and show details.Normally the only tags that show in the client are Instructor tags, but right now batch Instructor tags don't show in the client at all.

Ares Link Checker fails to create secure SSL/TLS channel if link web server is using secure crypto
.NET 4.5 does not support secure TLS 1.1 & 1.2 by default. If the link points to a server that has disabled TLS 1.0 the link will have the secure channel error. .NET 4.6 supports TLS 1.1 & 1.2 by default.

Replacing message text in Web Alerts causes a "Message is Required" Validation error
Reproduce:
Create and save a web alert
Highlight all the message text and type a new message
Message will now fail validation and will not pass no matter what is typed inWork around:
Click to a different web alert
It will prompt you to save unsaved changes

Importing item details will fail if both items are free text documents.
Within the staff client, if you attempt to import item details from one free text document (Created Item) to another, a primary key violation occurs.

Search users group in client is collapsed on some operating systems
Atlas could reproduce it on Windows 7 and Server 2012 but not Server 2008R2.

Item cloning does not manage connections efficiently
Database connections are opened and closed repeatedly for various processes within the cloning item action. Each time something in the database is looked up, like querying tags or flags, the connection is being reinitialized.
A small change can be made to keep the connection opened during the entire process.

The Ares Client makes multiple calls to refresh the dashboard on startup.
RefreshList is called as part of both the form load and form activated events.

Ares web alerts contain a time portion that can't be set in the UI
In the Ares Client, create a new system web alert for the next day. When you look at the record in the SystemAlerts table, you can see that the ActivateDate and InactiveDate fields contain the time component even though the UI in the Client only allows you to select a date, and the time component is set to the time of day the alert was created. So if you create an alert for the next day at noon, it won't show for users until noon the next day and the staff user doesn't have any control over this.

DevEx Splitter Controls do not persist layout changes if pushed to full left or right
On the FormItemDetails page, if you add a splitter AND make other significant layout changes, such as moving a Layout group, something is notifying the Layouts class that a change has been made and the layout is then saved.
We are waiting on a response from DevExpress because there appears to be a bug in their component

The calculated Page Count field on the Client's item form is cleared when the staff user enters a value into Entire Work Pages
- Create a new item in the Ares Client
- Enter '1-10' into the pages field and tab out. The Page Count field is populated with the value '10'
- Enter 100 into the Entire Work Pages field and tab out. The Page Count field is cleared.

Changes to the browser emulation mode are not applied until the next time the Client is started.
The web browser control will render web pages as whatever the installed version of IE is. However, this change will not take effect until the Client has been restarted.

The "Change Status on Send" toggle option is inconsistently rendered when email routing is not relevant.
In some cases, we're explicitly hiding the "Change Status on Send" toggle altogether when we know that email routing isn't relevant, such as when cancelling an item or when sending an email from the user form. In other cases, the button is just disabled, such as when sending a rightsholder email request from the item form's copyright tab.

The version check does not prevent newer clients from running on older server versions
The check is looking at the traditional major/minor versions instead of the combination of major and minor.

Enter key will not open focused row on Course Search Results form
Clicking the enter key does not open an individual course form from the search results form. This works properly on the custom course search results.

This is an error in the DevExpress control itself that Ares uses and has been reported to them for correction.

Ares Client update notification can popup behind the Client startup screen
The notification that an Ares Client update is available can sometimes appear behind the initial startup loading screen, but cannot be clicked.
