Add key or other functionality to prevent creation of an appointment without an associated request in the web interface Currently, the New Appointment button can be removed from ViewAppointments.html to prevent patrons from scheduling an appointment without submitting a request. However, when creating a request, the patron can schedule an appointment and then choose not to submit the request. This creates an appointment without any associated transactions. This setting should be appointment reading room specific.

Fix Aeon Emails Getting Flagged as Spam At the Schlesinger Library, we are experiencing an issue with emails sent via Aeon getting flagged and routed to spam folders. We use the email function in Aeon to send out our confirmation emails, so having the emails get marked as spam causes problems for both staff and users.

For full day appointments, if user attempts to schedule for date available but appointment time has passed, show appropriate notification If reading room allows for all day appointment, say 10am - 5pm, and a user attempts to book for the next available day (min lead day), date appears to be availalble but is not. Full day should be greyed out in this case.

Allow patrons option to view password during password creation on registration form The University of Washington would like for the patron to be able to view the password, if desired - i.e., "eyelid" toggle icon, while creating the password on the registration page. This way, they can catch any errors when they have to enter their password twice, instead of starting over if there is a password character mismatch.

Option to batch-clone items associated with an activity to a different activity or user from within the activity record Create a "Clone to Different User" button within each Activity Record that will allow reading room staff to quickly circulate class carts to individual students in the reading room and then return those carts to hold status for the next student.
We often keep dozens of items on a hold cart for weeks after they have been used in a specific classroom activity. This allows students from that class to return at a later date and examine those materials individually in the reading room. The current process is overly cumbersome: staff must open the “Item on Hold for Activity” queue,…

Aeon Appointments front-facing tracking While we have granular details about user Reading Room history via the client, is there a way to allow patrons to see similar history? With the All Appointments filter, patrons can now see a history of their appointments. However, it doesn't specify how long the patron was there or if they showed up at all. Also, the Scheduled Appointments history doesn't allow for walk-in visitors, who do not make an advance appointment. Thank you.

Ability to add fields from Details tab to Billing tab in request record The University of Washington would like to either duplicate some fields from the Details tab or move the fields directly to the Billing tab in a photoduplication request record in the Aeon staff client. They are specifically interested in custom fields that they created, including a long text field that records general billing notes. They would like to see all of this info on the Billing tab so that they don't have to click back and forth between tabs when adding charges and preparing some print invoices that they need to create.

Appointments - Save and Close button in the client is always active Purdue University reported that the 'Save and Close' button in the appointment record on the client side is always 'active.' This is inconsistent with other records types in Aeon, where the Save button is becomes active only if a change has been made. They said that the inconsistency is confusing to staff.

ArchivesSpace integrations - import phystech note Purdue University would like for the Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements (phystech) note to be imported into Aeon via the PUI and client addon integrations with ArchivesSpace. This note could be at the resource and/or arch object level. The note contains handling information that they would like to build routing rules on.

ArchivesSpace integration - import classifications Purdue University would like for Classifications to be imported into Aeon via the PUI and client addon integrations with ArchivesSpace. They use Classifications as Collecting Areas in ArchivesSpace, and would like to collect statistics when patrons request materials that are linked to those classifications.

The staff client and opened records should open in full-screen mode Purdue University would like for the staff client to automatically expand to fill the screen when the client is opened. Likewise, they would like for opened records - user, request, activity - to also automatically expand. It is easier for the staff person to orient themselves to where they need to be in the client, and also not accidentally click on the X that closes the entire client when they are just trying to close one record.

Have Aeon automatically sign out patrons when reading room closes Purdue University would like for Aeon to automatically sign patrons out at when the reading room closes, based on the hours that are set up in appointments. This is in case staff forget to sign a patron out of the reading room, and no one notices until the reading room reopens. Note: There is another UserVoice entry that requests the ability to adjust the sign out time for a patron in the same scenario, which Purdue would also be happy with: https://uservoice.atlas-sys.com/forums/568075-aeon-ideas/suggestions/41771128-add-ability-to-adjust-sign-out-time

Create list view to see current transaction status Staff would like the ability to scan single or multiple Transaction Numbers to view a list (in grid form) of requests in their current status. Similar to the batch process, staff would scan the TNs or enter a list (copy from clipboard should be an option) and have Aeon show a list in a customizable grid of requests with current transaction status. Then staff should be able to manage those requests as a batch or individually.

Appointments: Allow for recording of researcher's guest(s) Princeton Theological Seminary has researchers, such as faculty members, who schedule appointments in the reading room and bring their research assistant(s) with them. The assistants do not need Aeon accounts, but they would like to record that these guests are using seats in the reading room during the appointment.

Search by user email via custom search field on top of dashboard Create a new search field in the Custom User Search section on top of the dashboard that allows for search by user email (now it has search by Username, Name, or ID). While we can currently create a custom search to do this, it would be quicker if staff can just enter an email in a field on top of the dashboard.

Do not allow requests to be cloned to a disavowed account. It doesn't make sense to be able to associate any new requests with a disavowed account. When cloning a request to another user and searching for them by name (not username), is it possible to hide disavowed accounts to avoid the mix-up?

Allow users to reset their password in web client Allow users to reset their password when logging into the web client after "Force Reset on Login" has been selected in the staff manager.
When changing a user's password in the staff manager and selecting "Force Reset on Login", this now locks user out when they attempt to login to the web client. They can only reset their password by logging into the desktop client or having someone with access to the staff manager change it. We have users who will only be using the web client and we would like them to create their own passwords.
