An error occurred while saving the comment Chrissy commentedI would also like for there to be a "Route" button on the course view process ribbon in the Ares client in order to change the "Current Status" on multiple selected items at once.
For example, if we or the instructor wants to change the status to "Cancelled by Instructor" or "Awaiting Review by Staff" for all items tagged as Week 11, or all items with a specific author, etc.
Currently, I can either change the status of each item one-by-one by opening them individually. Another workaround I use when there are a lot to change is to use a custom item search with parameters to find the items in the course that this would apply to, and then using the routing option from that search screen's process ribbon.
Preferably this would be its own button and not a part of the bulk edit items menu since that feature does not work for us (Atlas is already aware of that separate issue of ours).Chrissy supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Chrissy commentedA batch removal for courses and items would also be very useful for us.
Chiming in from Johns Hopkins as well! I asked about this in the webinar yesterday. It would be a hugely time saving feature. I work for a different school than Jenny within JHU; we also often have to change week tags, but sometimes it's more complex. For example, I recently had a course in which the instructor had us tag a large number of items as "Marketing" but then decide to switch about half of those items to "Social Media Marketing." It would be much easier to select all items and change the tags at once.
