Allow Instructor Tags to be a Shared Field on Shared Lists
Our institution currently processes all of the readings for instructors. Thus, the vast majority of our processing happens in the Staff Client.
We're using a shared list to manage readings for a course that has multiple sections. Previously, if a reading changed (or a link broke), we would open each course section (since each section has a different Ares course ID) and fix the problem. Fixing problems that way was time-intensive and inefficient - sometimes we forgot to change the problem in one section, but fixed it in the others. Now with shared lists, we can go to the shared list and fix the problem once. It has saved us a lot of time.
However, we recently realized that there's no way to assign the same Instructor tags to items on a shared list. In our case, the readings in the shared list are always assigned to the same week/module - so it would be helpful if the client allowed us to assign instructor tags from the Shared List Management - instead of having to open each individual item (multiplied by however many sections we have) in order to assign them.
Perhaps if this wouldn't be useful for other institutions, it could be an option that institutions to could turn on or off. For example, staff could go to the Customization Manager and select which fields they would like 'shared' on Shared Lists.
