Support for LTI content item message
This would allow instructors to put a "permalink" within other documents on the course management systems using LTI. This is currently supported by Canvas and BrightSpace but others may as well.

The consensus of people I work with is Ares would be a stronger product if students never needed to see Ares web pages other than the ones which display e-reserve items. Teachers use the Ares web pages to manage requests. Staff use the Ares client. Students only need plinks that work. "Cool features for students," are just more HTML code that needs to be commented away when we're required to deploy new Ares web pages.
Please excuse me if I sound blunt. We've had Ares since it was new and I'm just repeating what our teaching and learning center staff tell me every semester since we deployed Moodle.
