    At Johns Hopkins, only library staff can add and change items in Ares. We do not use the web version for instructors at all. Therefore, we definitely would like STAFF to be able to make batch changes to tags in the Ares Client. This would include changing tags.

    The use case for this - we use tags to identify the "week" that a reading is assigned. From year to year instructors often rearrange weeks within a course, especially if there are guest speakers. It would be great to be able to change all of the tags for readings in a particular week at once.

    Is this a duplicate of being able to edit multiple items at once? Because actually tags is the reason that we'd like to change multiple items at once. Ideally there would be a check-box for items in a course, and you could select the items and then change the tags of those items all at once.

    Our instructional designers just asked for this! Right now we use the Blackboard building block, but if this were available we'd have an incentive to move to LTI.

    We give all library staff proxy access to the web. I'm not sure why they need view access to the client when they can view everything on the web.
