Separate Queues for Workflow - Physical Items vs Digital Items
In ARES, we currently have 3 staff assigned to manage workflow for Book Chapters/Articles and Print Materials. Currently, all items move into the "Awaiting Stacks Searching" tab without a way to control what items are chosen/sent to the printer so all items are printed and moved which can make it difficult to track (if items aren't moved back, or having to manually note/record which item numbers need to be moved away into a different queue then back).
It would be useful if there were separate tabs. One tab for "Awaiting Physical Items - In Stacks Searching" and another tab for "Awaiting Book Chapters/Articles - In Stacks Searching". This way the items could be moved, printed and automatically routed to "In Stacks Searching" without any cross over or risk of confusion. It would also make it easier to delegate stacks searching tasks for our students because there would be either a pull physical items list, or a pull for digitization list.
Any help creating this process would be much appreciated.

Marcus,
Thanks for the feedback - after our meeting we were able to establish a workflow with routing rules and edited print templates, but being able to select which items moved from Awaiting Stacks Searching to In Stacks Searching by Pickup Location or ItemFormat could be an interesting alternative that the Ares Product Team will review.
