  1. Allow copyright payment via CCC for document delivery requests, not just borrowing requests.

Currently document delivery requests aren't hooked up to CCC, so we cannot submit CCC payments for doc del requests via ILLiad, and instead have to manually log into the CCC via a browser and manually input the requests for which we are paying copyright fees. It would be helpful if doc del requests could follow the same workflow as borrowing requests for the CCC integration.

  2. Add an export option to the Submit Copyright Orders Screen

Most other ILLiad screens allow exporting data to Excel. Adding the option to the Submit Copyright Orders screen so we could more easily investigate titles we're borrowing high amounts of, along with the actual current publisher fees in CCC prior to submitting the order would be very helpful

  3. Allow staff to customize how ILLiad assigns copyright compliance (CCL/CCG)

We would like all of our borrowing requests to indicate CCL.

ILLiad automatically assigns CCG/CCL based on publication date, creating an error when a library also has a copyright entry in their OCLC Constant Data. This error has been discussed here: https://support.atlas-sys.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360012493354-Easy-Fix-Copyright-fields-are-duplicated-in-ILLiad-when-using-a-constant-data-record-containing-copyright-data-resulting-in-an-error-message-

Libraries should be able to customize how CCL/CCG is applied to their requests, regardless of whether the request is filled through RapidILL, OCLC, or other means.

  4. Allow us to adjust the number of times a journal is requested before it appears on our copyright list.

If CONTU is not law, and our institution decides that 10 requests is the definition of replacing a subscription, we should be able to change a setting in ILLiad so that we can easily follow our own guideline, rather than ignoring the list and reconciling all titles at the end of the year.

  5. Reprints Desk - allow for more streamlined use within the ILLiad client and handle payment via IFM

Add integrated Reprints Desk functionality and allow for handling payment to Reprints Desk via IFM. This was asked for by VIVA ILL Forum attendees at 2018 meeting.

  6. Improve normalization of journal titles for copyright searching and counting against rule of five

Some titles have carriage returns, trailing spaces, and abbreviations that make the rule of five not match. Also, journals change title throughout their run. Should the copyright query count another field like ISSN, OCLC Number, or some other field?

  7. Move items being processed from the Awaiting Copyright Clearance queue to the Request in Process queue

Allow the Awaiting Copyright Clearance queue to function like the other Request Processing Queues and move a request that is being processed to the Request in Process queue when it is being processed by another user. This would prevent conflicts when multiple people process the copyright queue.

  8. Show requests tied to specific journal title

Ability to right-click on a title that has applied to copyright to show the requests that are tied to the specific journal title
