Address validation for shipping
UPS and FedEx will charge for address corrections. https://www.ups.com/us/en/help-center/sri/glo-addcorr.page

Would be nice to have an address validation app to check addresses and flag incorrect addresses for review before shipping to save on address correction

This would need to be something that could be turned on or off (in an admin setting somewhere) and by-passed within the client (if need be). Keep in mind that not all correct UPS addresses will validate against the USPS database. Our USPS address is a PO Box, but our UPS/FedEx address is a street address - validating our street address against the USPS database will always fail, but our address is correct in the Policies Directory.

Yes. Those extra charges add up, and frequently there is very little difference between the address they correct and the one you gave them.

It might be more helpful (or equally helpful) to have OCLC Policies Directory facilitate/require/add a section for a Validated/validate-able address.

This would save us money and time, especially since ILLiad prints the address from the borrower's constant data now.
