Honestly, this needs to be system agnostic. Especially since DIBS is a course reserves system and not meant for ILL. I would be happy to sit down in the new year!

Thanks for that clarifying question, Allen! ILLiad will be managing the related workflows, not providing the CDL functionality directly. Ideally we'd integrate with a CDL system to automate things like delivery of the electronic resource into the CDL system, coordination of sequestering the physical item, and supply of the CDL link and any necessary credentials to the patron or borrowing library.
We're also looking at additional integrations based on the needs of the various CDL systems. For example, DIBS relies on integrations with the ILS to retrieve citation information for the resources for which it manages access. We can build an integration that allows DIBS to get its citation information from Ares or ILLiad (for borrowing side support).

I think there is a much more involved user story here. Does Illiad want to manage the requests between CDL systems or does it want to do CDL? I would prefer it handle info between requests systems and not the CDL transaction itself.
