An error occurred while saving the comment Allen Jones commentedHonestly, this needs to be system agnostic. Especially since DIBS is a course reserves system and not meant for ILL. I would be happy to sit down in the new year!
An error occurred while saving the comment Allen Jones commentedany traction on this yet?
Allen Jones supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Allen Jones commentedI think there is a much more involved user story here. Does Illiad want to manage the requests between CDL systems or does it want to do CDL? I would prefer it handle info between requests systems and not the CDL transaction itself.

An error occurred while saving the comment Allen Jones commentedFrom a diversity and inclusion perspective,a one-time import of a user record means that firstname/lastname doesnt get updated only once. Usually in these cases, the ID stays the same, but the related info around the username changes. This is especially problematic for any user who changes gender during the course of their stay with the university. +1 to being out of compliance with our identity source of truth.
Allen Jones supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Allen Jones commentedThere is a use case for this in frequently changing instructor assignments. At The New School, over 80% of our faculty are part-time and hired very close to the beginning of the course. we frequently have students drop and add to courses 2 or 3 weeks into the semester. Additionally, we have students who for various life events change their names. this is usually handled via SQL query. We would like our SRS update to be the single source of truth , so as membership of courses change, instructors change, and names change, all of this can be updated. It is frustrating having clerical staff manually update these fields which are automated in our ILS< but not in the reserves system itself.

An error occurred while saving the comment Allen Jones commentedThe illiad - odyssey document viewer could be used to do this with abby in the background if libraries wanted to sit and proof the docs. even better would be the publishing/conversion to epub. just one step away from CDL...
An error occurred while saving the comment Allen Jones commentedThis can happen with a watch folder in Abby fine reader running on the server. If this is not functionality that can be built into the system, can we at least get integration with this best of industry product?

This would improve performance in a serious way. Currently, we have 2 calls to the web API to get this info. Sadly, I've resorted to loading our statuses into an array and locally editing our public messages as a result. including this info would be extremely helpful.
