Remove the option to choose "Current Semester" when creating a course via LTI
Remove the option to choose "Current Semester". Instructors like to leave it at that default, but it's usually wrong.

This is also an issue for us. It also causes confusion for faculty creating courses via LTI because we've got different term durations running concurrently.
I 100% support Kurt's proposed solution! -

This is a major issue for us.
Background: When we have two active semesters for which faculty can request items in Ares, we get that dropdown because Ares doesn’t know which semester to assign to a course.Issue: Faculty just click the Create Course button inevitably choosing the wrong semester. I can’t find the page source for this so I can’t figure out how to change it.
Solution: First, we’re on the quarter system so the drop-down should say “Choose a Quarter”. Second, The default value for the drop down need to be blank, not a value from a list that isn’t automatically visible. Faculty should be forced to select a value.

We should be able to set the "new course semester" if this option is removed.
