ArchivesSpace - Aeon Fulfillment Plugin - Ability for patrons to make more than one selection in ArchivesSpace A library using the Aeon Fulfillment plugin in ArchivesSpace would like for checkboxes to appear at the requestable levels (e.g. file, Item) so that a patron may select more than one resource before using the plugin to log into the Aeon and submit the requests via Aeon. They are essentially looking for a "shopping cart" feature on the ArchivesSpace side.
14 votesreleased · AdminKatie Gillespie (Special Collections & Archives Program Manager, Atlas Systems, Inc.) respondedA new option called :top_container_mode has been added to the plugin configuration. Top container mode limits requesting to resource records and archival objects with top containers. The request button directs users to a new form in Aeon, ArchivalRequest.html, that will render the top containers as checkboxes. Each checked box will submit 1 request to Aeon. The requests will be submitted to Awaiting Request Processing.
The updated plugin also includes more granular options to control requesting based on restrictions. And an option to flag containers stored offsite.

Create database field for preferred name Create a new database field for Preferred Name. This field should be searchable in the Name search on the Dashboard and added to the available display fields in the Signed In Users group. When used and data is present, the preferred name should supersede the First Name in all views/displays/print templates.

ArchivesSpace - Aeon Fulfillment Plugin: Ability to import Conditions Governing Use note I am submitting this on behalf of an Aeon library, and I also think the enhancement would be useful to other libraries. The library would like for the contents of the Conditions Governing Use note in ArchivesSpace to import into Aeon. Many libraries use this note in conjunction with the Conditions Governing Access note (which does currently import into Aeon).

Allow photoduplication requesting via External Request Endpoint (ERE) Requests placed via external requesting (especially from ArchivesSpace) are unable to be turned into photoduplication orders. Patrons or staff must clone the request to a copy order, which creates confusion with duplicate requests.
11 votesreleased · AdminKatie Gillespie (Special Collections & Archives Program Manager, Atlas Systems, Inc.) respondedThe option to toggle between scheduling a request and requesting photoduplication is supported on the ArchivalRequest.html released with Aeon 5.2 as part of the updated ArchivesSpace Aeon Request Plugin.

Something has changed with the formatting of the date columns when I export to a spreadsheet When I export to a spreadsheet, the date columns (transaction date & scheduled date) are not formatted as dates and can't be changed in excel! This always worked perfectly in the past and has just recently changed.

Create a tool/function to allow Aeon staff users to schedule blackout dates for their calendars. Create a tool/function to allow Aeon staff users to schedule blackout dates for their calendars. This would allow staff to immediately modify their calendars without requiring support assistance. Especially important if the change is needed with short notice.

Create functionality to allow patrons to schedule appointments. Create functionality to allow patrons to schedule appointments. This would also involve a tracking table where if a patron needs to reschedule the scheduled date, the change would be tracked (for reporting purposes). This might also involved the option to cancel an appointment (without necessarily cancelling requests) or to record when a patron is a walk-in.

ArchivesSpace addon for Aeon client - ability to import location information Would like the ability to import information from the Location record in ASpace, specifically from the Location title field, as part of the 'Import Instance' functionality. The info should write to the Aeon Location field in the transaction record.

Request Merging for ASpace PUI Hi,
I don't know if this is an idea but I'd love to get feedback. We're testing requesting from the ArchivesSpace PUI. We're relying on the "request merge" feature for part of the process. The idea is that if a patron requests multiple items from the same box, these requests will automatically merge into one request. To the patron, the request has all of the titles concatenated in the itemtitile field, separated by pipes. But it looks a little long and confusing. We thought maybe an bulleted list would be clearer. But I don't know how other people use the…

Accessibility for Aeon? Hi, I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but is there any information about Aeon accessibility for people with disabilities? We have to do an accessibility audit, and the person I'm working with did a quick look and said he already saw problems.

Allow activity requests to filter by Queue Name instead of Queue ID. In the Aeon staff client, on the Activity Requests screen, the filter options for Transaction Status display the Queue ID instead of the matching Queue Name. Most sites do not know the Queue ID, so it would be preferable to filter by Queue Name. See screenshots below for examples.
Quick filter options: https://www.screencast.com/t/VHIm62Vnrg6v
Filtering by Queue Name returns no results: https://www.screencast.com/t/u7jvUBVDyA

Way for staff to create multiple requests from a file Staff may have an Excel file with many requests that need to be created. As long as the fields match, Aeon should let them create multiple requests at once by uploading a file. They would all be assigned to the user selected in the staff client.
