Hide past appointments in appointment dropdown on request form in the client
In the appointment dropdowns in the client, all appointments display with the oldest at the top. Past appointments (prior to the current date) should be hidden so staff only choose from future appointments.

It would be really helpful to automatically generate appointment confirmation emails (when an appointment is made) & reminder emails (the day before an appointment)

Appointment display options for patrons
Right now it looks as if a user logged in through the web will see their own appointments displayed in order from earliest (including past appointments) to latest. I imagine that as our frequent users return, this might get annoying for them - since they'd have to scroll and scroll to reach more recent/upcoming appointments.
Is there a way to let patrons change the order in which they display, or to toggle on/off "active" (current and upcoming?) appointments the way you can for "active" requests?

Allow staff to request items without appointments
Once you require appointments, it is applicable to everyone including staff. This is okay for Public Services staff who can navigate the client but not for everyone else who submits through the web interface. We have a workaround but it would be nice to allow staff to submit without an appointment.

Add history and tracking entries for Appointments
Currently, no history or tracking entries are available for Appointment. This makes tracking down issues and troubleshooting difficult. Including a history tab for Appointments would be very useful to determine when appointments are created in the client vs the web, when appointment information is changed or updated, etc.

Appointments - in the web interface, relocate the Appointment Name field to below start/stop boxes
This request is from Boston Public Library. When the patron schedules an appointment, after selecting the box of time, the appointment window appears where the patron can enter an appointment name and start and stop times. They would like for the Appointment Name field to be listed after the start and stop time boxes because the time boxes are required fields, so they would like the patron's attention on those fields. The Appointment Name is not required, and it is a little confusing to the patron as to what the patron should name the appointment.

Allow appointments to be required for only one auth type
Some sites require appointments for external/non-affiliated researchers but not for campus affiliates. Ex: students can continue to walk-in to see materials, but a visiting researcher must make an appointment.

Pull location data from ArchivesSpace into new Aeon requests made via the ArchivesSpace Aeon Fulfillment Plugin
The University of Southern California Libraries would like the ArchivesSpace Aeon Fulfillment Plugin to pull container location information from ArchivesSpace into new requests made via the plugin. The location "title" from ArchivesSpace (e.g., "Grand, 2, Bookstacks [Row: 103, Section: 1, Shelf: 1]") could export into the Aeon request's Location or SubLocation field. Ideally, if a user submits a request for an Archival Object that is linked to multiple containers, the fulfillment plugin would create a separate Aeon request for each container (with each container's corresponding location title from ArchivesSpace).
6 votesreleased · AdminKatie Gillespie (Special Collections & Archives Program Manager, Atlas Systems, Inc.) respondedTop container location mapping has been included in the updated ArchivesSpace Request Fulfillment plugin released with Aeon 5.2. It is now possible to map the following fields to Aeon via the OpenURL mapping table:
- instance_top_container_location_note
- instance_top_container_location_title
- instance_top_container_location_id
- instance_top_container_location_building

Appointment Display
It would be great if calendar could show both morning and afternoon appointments. It is very confusing for researchers who are scheduling multiple appointments.

ArchivesSpace - Aeon Fulfillment Plugin - restrictions checkbox
The University of Baltimore would like for ASpace to indicate when the Restrictions Apply? checkbox is checked in the collection record in ArchivesSpace, as opposed to importing the Access Restrictions note, as the plugin currently does. This is because restrictions note isn't always used because it doesn't always apply; a clearer indication for them is if the checkbox is checked.
2 votesreleased · AdminKatie Gillespie (Special Collections & Archives Program Manager, Atlas Systems, Inc.) respondedThe true/false value from restrictions_apply can be mapped to Aeon via the OpenURLMapping table.

Aeon - ArchivesSpace Fulfillment Plugin - import digital object info
The University of Arkansas would like to know if a requested ArchivesSpace component has a digital object instance. This would help with reproduction requests so that staff know when a reproduction already exists. They would like for the plugin to be able to import this info into the Aeon request record.
3 votesreleased · AdminKatie Gillespie (Special Collections & Archives Program Manager, Atlas Systems, Inc.) respondedAs part of the updated ArchivesSpace Fulfillment Plugin released with Aeon 5.2, the following mapping has been added:
digital_objects
- semi-colon (;) separated string list
- contains the IDs of all digital objects associated with the record.
