  2. Appointments - Save and Close button in the client is always active

    Purdue University reported that the 'Save and Close' button in the appointment record on the client side is always 'active.' This is inconsistent with other records types in Aeon, where the Save button is becomes active only if a change has been made. They said that the inconsistency is confusing to staff.

  3. The staff client and opened records should open in full-screen mode

    Purdue University would like for the staff client to automatically expand to fill the screen when the client is opened. Likewise, they would like for opened records - user, request, activity - to also automatically expand. It is easier for the staff person to orient themselves to where they need to be in the client, and also not accidentally click on the X that closes the entire client when they are just trying to close one record.

  4. Have Aeon automatically sign out patrons when reading room closes

    Purdue University would like for Aeon to automatically sign patrons out at when the reading room closes, based on the hours that are set up in appointments. This is in case staff forget to sign a patron out of the reading room, and no one notices until the reading room reopens.   5. Create list view to see current transaction status

    Staff would like the ability to scan single or multiple Transaction Numbers to view a list (in grid form) of requests in their current status. Similar to the batch process, staff would scan the TNs or enter a list (copy from clipboard should be an option) and have Aeon show a list in a customizable grid of requests with current transaction status. Then staff should be able to manage those requests as a batch or individually.

  6. Allow users to reset their password in web client

    Allow users to reset their password when logging into the web client after "Force Reset on Login" has been selected in the staff manager.

    When changing a user's password in the staff manager and selecting "Force Reset on Login", this now locks user out when they attempt to login to the web client. They can only reset their password by logging into the desktop client or having someone with access to the staff manager change it. We have users who will only be using the web client and we would like them to create their own passwords.

  7. Use Appointment StopTime to use Appointment to inactive instead of StartTime

    Users have reported that once an appointment starts, it is moved to inactive and hidden in the client. Some reading rooms allow requesting after the Appointment StartTime and therefore the appointment should remain active in the client lists until the StopTime has elapsed.

  9. Restore "bright yellow" highlighting for modified but unsaved field values

    Restore "bright yellow" highlighting for modified but unsaved field values or provide options for skin color palette customization. Previous default highlight color (#FEFD35) was well-liked by staff and none of the current skins offer a comparable attention-grabbing option.

  10. Enable Recurring Appointments

    Some of our researchers are requesting recurring appointments in our Reading Room, but we currently have to create a separate appointment for each individual date. It would be so helpful to be able to schedule those appointments all at once!

  11. Allow request submittal after appointment StartTime has begun

    Many reading rooms allow request submittal after the appointment time starts. If the Appointment mindleaddays is set to 0, this should allow the user to submit requests until the appointment StopTime.

    Alternately, if lead time is required, add a new key to indicate whether requests can be submitted while the user is signed in for their appointment.

  12. Change custom batch process via staff template

    We have a lot of custom batch processes set up, to the point where the list of options can be unwieldly to look at. We would love to be able to customize which batch processes appear for a specific staff template, so that staff are only seeing the options they need to use.

  13. Export appointments from Aeon client as calendar files

    The University of Tulsa would like the ability to export appointment information from the Aeon client and add it to their department calendar (they use Google) where they record other non-Aeon appointments. (I can also see this benefiting another library that shares their reading room with university archives, which doesn't use Aeon.) For now, UTulsa will CC the person in charge of managing the department calendar whenever the Aeon appointment confirmation is sent (which includes the appointment details).

  14. Add appointment status for "Needs to be Rescheduled" with associated email allowing site to notify user and request they reschedule

    When confirming an appointment, staff may find that they cannot confirm the appointment but do not want to cancel it. Instead, they want to ask the patron to reschedule. Add an email template and an appointment status to reflect this.

  18. Add "Print Request" button to User Appointment ribbon

    Hi,

    We would love to see Aeon add the "Print Request" button to User Appointment ribbon. For offsite materials, printing a duplicate callslip is unnecessary and these print request pick lists are helpful for our paging procedures.

  20. Add Route menu and Save button to the new Appointments window

    The new and enhanced appointments window in the client has many great options. What would make this window even more functional is adding the Route Menu to the top menu. With this added, we can then, post-appointment confirmation, route all the associated requests to the queue where they need to be (as well as check materials out from here as well). In addition, if we can have a Save button in addition to Save and Close, that would be good too.
