Create functionality to allow patrons to schedule appointments.
Create functionality to allow patrons to schedule appointments. This would also involve a tracking table where if a patron needs to reschedule the scheduled date, the change would be tracked (for reporting purposes). This might also involved the option to cancel an appointment (without necessarily cancelling requests) or to record when a patron is a walk-in.

In addition to blocking partial days, it would be nice to be able to cap the number of appointments that can be scheduled in a single day, to reflect physical capacity of a facility, or in these times, how many people can be safely accommodated.

I agree with Catherine. The ability to customize the closure time -- block out parts of the day for closings/instruction, etc. rather than the full day -- would be very useful for us!

Also allow for partial closures in the Client/Customization Manager so that staff can indicate open/close hours rather than having to block out the entire day.

Requests are automatically submitted at 12:00am, however many sites require patrons to schedule an appointment or would like to know the approximate time a researcher will arrive. In the web interface, the scheduled date field should also allow the option to choose the time of the visit, in addition to the date.
