We now have safe links in our ILLiad notifications, which is not ideal.

We'd like to have HTML emails to increase consistency of the library experience for our patrons - we'd like all emails coming from our department to have a similar look and feel, and ILLiad notifications don't currently allow that.

Unfortunately, we have come to the point where we have had to remove all but the most necessary links in our notifications, which significantly limits our options and our ability to proactively help patrons.

This is so long overdue!

Similar to Robert's comment nearly 5 years ago, our IT department has added a "safe links" feature that re-writes URLs in internal email messages. They are several lines long and overwhelm the message text. We need the ability to create HTML links so when canceling requests we can continue to direct patrons to our policies, a purchase request form, and librarians who can help them find alternatives.

This would be great! We could provide emails that are more helpful to our patrons.

Having HTML emails will improve usability (example following) and accessibility (WCAG 2.0).
Our IT recently added a link checker (urldefense.proofpoint.com) to our email that makes ILLiad links look like spam and/or a phishing email. Hiding the actual link behind a text would make it seem less "phishy" and conform with WCAG 2.0.
