Activities - incorporate some course reserve-type functions
Purdue University has a number of classes (which will be Aeon activities) where students go to the reading room to look at course materials on their own time. The students will first make an appointment in the Aeon patron web interface. Then when they arrive onsite, the requests will be cloned from the activity and checked out to the student. Purdue would like for there to be more visible connectivity/relationships between the activity record, the appointment, and the cloned requests. This information would be helpful for reporting purposes, and will also show how classes are used in Archives and Special…

Add functionality to display a field (including custom fields) when RequestFor is populated with an activity.
When a user submitting a request selects an activity from the Request For dropdown, allow additional fields to display to ask for Date Needed or other data related to activity requests. This relates specifically to sites using appointments, where the appointment fields are hidden when an activity is selected.

Retain activity Completed status if other ActivityStatus options are removed from CustomDropDown
By default, the Aeon ActivityStatus includes the options Created, In Progress, Fulfilled, and Completed. Only In Progress and Fulfilled can be changed/removed. However, if both are removed, the Completed option no longer appears. The Completed option should always be present, like Created.

Create deadline for submitting requests to an activity
I'd like to close an activity for additional submissions from nonstaff by a certain date. That way I would have adequate time to pull materials and don't need to constantly monitor activities to see if faculty or students added items.

Sending activity notification to a user who has yet created an account
I'd like to be able to create an activity and send a link to a user to add items even if they haven't yet created an account. The link would take them to the account creation page and then let them submit requests for the activity. Currently, I have to hope they let me know when they created an account or keep checking in Aeon before I know that I can add them to the activity.

Allow activity cloning from web account
Possibility of adding activity cloning from researchers web account. We work with several faculty and groups teaching the same classes each year and allowing them control of this function would help alleviate the impact this currently has on staff time.

When printing callslips from the Activity form, print callslips for all requests awaiting processing, even those in custom queues
We have a few custom Awaiting Activity Processing queues, but when we print callslips for all requests awaiting processing, only callslips for the requests in the default Awaiting Activity Processing queue print. We would like all requests in a queue with the State of Awaiting Activity Processing to print.

Have requests associated with activities placed from the ERE form route to activity queues
Hi,
We noticed that when we place requests associated with activities from ArchivesSpace via the ERE form, they don't route to "Awaiting activity processing" We think this is because the requests are created before they are submitted, and the patron adds the activity information after the request is create in Aeon. We may be able to get around this with a routing rule . But for sites like Beinecke that route requests out of "Awaiting Activity Processing" based on activity type, it will be more complicated. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Don't clone previous scheduled date when cloning activity requests
When an activity is cloned, the new requests retain the previous scheduled date. Ideally, the new requests should be updated to include a new scheduled date equal to the begin date of the activity.

Active requests button in activity
Rather than accidentally change all requests in an activity using Shift+click function, please add an "active requests" button like in User profiles so we can filter out cancelled requests from activity view.

Show who attended an activity/event without adding them as users for that activity
Students may have come to view the items, but you don't want to add them as users for that activity because they shouldn't be able to create requests associated with it. But staff (and instructors) like to know who was in the room.

Add page up and page down buttons for Activity records like on Requests
In client, add ability to page up or page down from the active Activities list, like you can from requests in a queue. When you open an active activity from the dashboard Activity tab, you have to close and reopen each activity to page through. Would be useful to have the page through buttons.

Cloned activity request should update with new scheduled date
Cloned activity requests should be updated to reflect a new scheduled date, ideally equal to the activity begin date.

Option to batch cancel multiple requests from the activity request list
You can route them all now, but you can't cancel which would choose a reason and offer the option to email.

Automate activities procedures
We have gone through a few iterations of methods for handling just these situations, because cloning to all individual users for what was essentially course reserves (or other similar Activities) was quite cumbersome. Here's what we've devised, and it's working pretty well for us these days: 1. When materials are being used in the class session, all requests are routed to "Item Checked Out to Activity." 2. When the class session is over but we suspect (or know in advance) that students will return to the reading room for further consultation, we route all the requests to a custom queue,…
