An error occurred while saving the comment I would suggest a check box or something similar in the client that would trigger a bill for lost in Billing Manager. Perhaps the configuration for billing for lost could live in the Customization Manager? Configuration would include a standard fee for lost (i.e. $130 or something similar).

An error occurred while saving the comment We are still on Voyager with no immediate plans to migrate to a new ILS. It would be great if NCIP was just standard through Customization Manager rather than specific add ons to each ILS.

An error occurred while saving the comment My library did employ a custom work around where we linked functionality to the Copyright Obtained check box and routed any article requests without this box checked to a custom queue for copyright review/order submitting by staff. If the faculty member checks it is fair use, library licensed resource ect. the Copyright Obtained box is checked, if they choose not a fair use it is left blank. this work around is ok so far, but it would be better to have similar (or better) functionality as a default in the system. However, we weren't able to create any functionality like this on the cloning side, so we are only able to instruct (text box) faculty to place a new request if any of the items being cloned are not a fair use. This is not an ideal work around, we wish there was a way to faculty to indicate fair use again for items being cloned.

An error occurred while saving the comment Actually it would be even better if there could be something that ran in the background that just OCR's articles as they come in. I know there are systems out there that do this, and it would be great if they could be integrated into the ILLiad workflow for both lending and borrowing.
If we could at least have a way to "ignore" links in the Invalid Links queue that were actually valid and have it stick (i.e. not show up again 24 hours later), that would help. Or just have a way to correct the system to tell them the link it thinks is invalid, is actually valid.
