An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedThe University of Washington would also like this feature, specifically for reproduction requests. When a patron submits a reproduction request, they would like for Aeon to send an automatic email to remind the patron of the fulfillment time-frame. Currently, the time-frame can take a few weeks, but patrons are expecting shorter terms, even though there is language on the request form.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedThe University of Washington is requesting this for cancelling multiple requests at once. Right now, if more than one request is selected, and then the Cancel button is used, Aeon sends an individual Cancellation email for each request. This is helpful if the requests are for different patrons, but they feel that most of the time, they would be cancelling in bulk for the same patron. There is also not "edit email" option when using the Cancel button to cancel multiple requests.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedUniversity of Washington would also like this feature. In the meantime, they also asked for the ability to export an Outlook calendar file from the activity record on the staff client side. They would like for the following details to be in the export: lass title, staff person associated, and any notes added. And mentioned the following:
Powershell example of what I’d be looking for:
# Create a new Outlook application object
$outlook = New-Object -ComObject Outlook.Application# Get the MAPI namespace
$namespace = $outlook.GetNamespace("MAPI")# Access the Calendar folder
$calendar = $namespace.GetDefaultFolder([Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.OlDefaultFolders]::olFolderCalendar)# Create a new appointment item in the Calendar
$appointment = $calendar.Items.Add(1) # 1 denotes an appointment item# Set properties for the appointment
$appointment.Subject = "Team Meeting"
$appointment.Start = [datetime]"2024-09-04 09:00"
$appointment.End = [datetime]"2024-09-04 10:00"
$appointment.Body = "Discuss project milestones."Anne Marie Lyons supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedThe University of Washington also noted this issue - it is confusing to the patron to see the available timeframe block - in their case, 4 hours - because when the patron clicks on it, there are no actual times to choose from.

Aeon 5.1 added the unlimited custom fields feature but did not increase field sizes.
Anne Marie Lyons supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedNew York State Archives would like to be able for increased field sizes, especially for custom fields, so that they can record multiple container barcodes within one request record. This is because one request might require the retrieval of multiple containers from the same series. Cloning such requests repeatedly, simply to accommodate the number of containers being requested could get very cumbersome for our staff. It is easier to use just one request record and record all of the barcodes there.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedBoston Public Library would like for custom fields to have more than 255 characters. They are developing a conservation workflow, and would like to use Aeon to record conservation needs and outcomes, which often exceed the character limit.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedGeorgia Archives asked that the ItemPages field be increased - they have run out of space with some complex patron requests.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedGeorgia Archives asked that the mailing address fields be increased and/or additional mailing address lines be added. They work with many government agencies, and mailing addresses are typically comprised of several long lines that include contact name (different from the requesting patron), building, office, department, etc.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedThe University of Arkansas and Case Western asked that the Title field be increased. It is currently limited to 255 characters and displays a confusing message when the title exceeds the character limit. Case Western noted that many of their collections have very long titles.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedThe University of Arkansas would like the custom dropdown feature for Transactions on the client side. They are using one of the ItemInfo fields to record delivery stop location codes for CaiaSoft. A controlled vocabulary would prevent typos.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedUniversity of Washington has requested this feature, as well, especially in the request records. It would be helpful to fix typos and update info within the same note.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Marie Lyons commentedPurdue University would also like this feature. They need two days minimum lead time for appointments, and this causes an issue when appointments are made on Friday for Monday, and the archive is closed Saturday and Sunday.

The University of Washington would also like this feature to make sure that the patron has received their file. This feature currently exists in the external system that UW uses to send files outside of Aeon.
