    I had posted a comment earlier today, but it seems to have disappeared. I think automatic OCR would help to ensure consistency and potentially provide support for a greater number of languages (e.g., CJK, non-Latin characters). This would help borrowers trust that the OCR was done the same way as other requested scans. If OCLC were to invest in making automatic OCR a reality, it would be a huge service to the resource sharing community.
