Use Appointment StopTime to use Appointment to inactive instead of StartTime
Users have reported that once an appointment starts, it is moved to inactive and hidden in the client. Some reading rooms allow requesting after the Appointment StartTime and therefore the appointment should remain active in the client lists until the StopTime has elapsed.

Please keep the appointments active and allow requesting until the stop time elapses. We allow researchers to request material throughout the day and the work around for same-day requests is complicated and clunky. Please let us know if/when this issue is resolved. Much appreciated!

Thanks, Daniel, for boosting this. We agree that it should be fixed asap.

Commenting on this to keep it near the top of the list as this is a fix we would really like to see happen. We've got a workaround in place for same-day requests but it is a bit tedious and requires additional steps. Thank you!

Purdue University allows for patrons to make new requests during their reading room visit/appointment, and would also like this feature.

We do a lot of same-day paging, so this would be hugely helpful rather than continuing to rely on a workaround.

This would greatly improve our researcher's experience, as we do (Day-of) retrievals throughout the day, thank you!

The appointment should remain active in the web pages as well so a patron can associate additional requests with the appointment as the appointment progresses.

Thank you, Katie! We do have reading rooms (with same day requesting) that have afternoon paging times during which researchers are allowed to place additional requests. So this fix would be very significant for us.
