Aeon Signed In Users grid should allow more fields from Users table
The current Signed In Users grid is pretty limited. It would be nice if more or all of the Users table columns could be used in this grid. Fields such as UserInfo fields, Status, Department, etc. could all be useful info at a glance in the grid.

Set the activity requests grid by default to match the 'requests from file' import template
Submitting on behalf of an Aeon customer: They would like for the grid in the Requests tab of an Activity record to mirror the import spreadsheet template (https://support.atlas-sys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013451754-Requests-From-File-Workflow). They need to reuse items for other activities (so this cuts out cloning an existing activity), and it would be easier to "import from file" for each activity when needed as opposed to cloning requests using the staff client, especially if new activities are associated with different users. If their export from the Aeon activity record is already organized as needed for the template, they can make any modifications after…

Add a 'Do not ask again' checkbox to the Aeon client update dialog
Some sites are required to have all client updates performed by IT staff, which must be scheduled in most cases. It would be nice to have an option to disable to update prompt in such cases so that staff are no longer prompted.

Allow multiple attachments on request record (like on user record)
Having the ability to upload multiple attachments per transaction would be nice. We don't use attachments specifically because we can't upload multiple items.

Allow staff to delete user images
There is currently no way (outside of the anonymization function) to remove a user image if staff accidentally upload the wrong image or a patron requests removal of their image. Sites would like the option to remove images (with tracking).

Bulk update permissions and settings in staff client
Can this be extended to “Select multiple users in Staff Client to apply settings in bulk”? We needed to add “Can Logon to Web as Patron” to 40+ staff accounts, which was a lot of clicking.

Some sites would like the ability to customize the notification messages, especially when the do paging based on material type or department.

Allow staff to send one email for multiple requests (batch email)
Would it be possible to highlight a set of requests from one user, and send a single email to the user?
It would be great to highlight all the requests from each single user at once and then send one collective email to the user.

Login As should not default to previous account when user clicks Cancel
The Login As option allows staff users to switch accounts, but can pose a security risk if a user clicks cancel as the client will revert back to the previously logged in staff user.

Add list of note types to WebNotesFilter key in Customization Manager
It is possible via the WebNotesFilter key to filter out certain note types from the web. By default, only System notes are filtered. The description should be updated as it currently refers to Lender which is not applicable to Aeon. But should also include a list of all note types.

Mark staff as inactive in staff manager
It would be nice to have the ability to mark staff as Inactive in the staff client. Our staff list is starting to grow as people rotate through, especially students and project archivists. Marking staff inactive would allow us to filter the list, and also it could be a convenient way to prevent disable inactive accounts from logging in.

Add tracking to request history when item is uploaded
No tracking entry is added when files are uploaded for photoduplication requests. Add entry in tracking table to indicate file was uploaded as there is currently no way to know aside from clicking the Upload Item button a second time to get an dialog box indicating a file has already been uploaded.

Adjust request limit logic so that photoduplication requests do not count against request limit.
Requests submitted for photoduplication go to Awaiting Request Processing | Awaiting Order Processing initially. Because the requests hit Awaiting Request Processing, photoduplication requests currently count against a patron's request limit until they are moved into a photoduplication queue.
Sites should have the option to choose whether photoduplication requests count against a patron's limit.

Create addon to add an expiration date to a queue and automatically route requests once the date parameter has passed
In the staff client, requests in the Item on Hold queue have no expiration, but most sites allow holds for 1-2 weeks. Create an addon that allows site to determine queue and number of days for requests to stay in that queue. When the number of days has elapsed, automatically route the request to another queue. EX: if a request is in Item on Hold and is allowed to be on hold for 2 weeks, set expiration for 14 days. When 14 days has passed, automatically route the request to Remove from Hold so staff can reshelve.

Ability to edit default batch process options
We'd love to be able to edit the starting status and end status of the default batch process options (Check Out, Place on Hold, Reshelve Item, Item Reshelved, Item Delivered.) The default batch process rules don't recognize any custom queues, so whenever we process requests with a custom status it triggers a pop-up warning that the status is non-standard. Having to click through the pop-up each time really slows down our workflows.

Alternate User Status for Accounts that have been Merged
Create a way to separate users that have been disavowed through the merging process v. those that are disavowed for other reasons.

Specify a hold location in its own field for each item
Sites could benefit from a "hold location" field in the Transactions table for each item. When the item is placed on the hold shelf, staff can designate that location (similar to choosing a table when signing a person into the reading room). That value would then display in the grid for all items on hold and would automatically clear when the item was checked back in without staff having to remember to clear it.
6 votesunder review · AdminKatie Gillespie (Special Collections & Archives Program Manager, Atlas Systems, Inc.) respondedRather than using additional queues or flags, we could create separate customizable functionality to allow you to specify a hold location when you click the Item on Hold button or use the Item on Hold batch process. Would this be an acceptable solution?

Permit scheduling of recurring Web Alerts
We want to schedule our "Reminder: no paging on Saturdays" web alert to display on Fridays and Saturdays only. Currently, we have to move the Active Date and Expiration Date by hand each week.

Notification for duplicate requests submitted
If a researcher requests something that is already on hold or in retrieval from a remote location, Aeon should alert staff to prevent duplicate paging or looking for things that are right behind them.
