Would like an email notification from Aeon when a patron has paid for an order
Georgia State University is using TouchNet to allow patrons to pay for orders via credit card. It is not enough of a notification that the order status changes to “Awaiting Item Delivery,” as there will be multiple orders in that queue at a time, including for patrons who weren’t charged, as well as pending file delivery from vendors. It’s difficult to understand which requests are new from TouchNet payments. They would ideally like for Aeon to send an email notification, or at least display some kind of flag on the Aeon client. For now, they are looking into TouchNet to…

Allow fields from additional tables to be called in the RequestFromFile process
It would be useful to allow custom fields, transaction flags, and notes to upload via the RequestFromFile template.

Appointment Scheduling - Change military time view to 12-hour time view
The University of Pittsburgh would like for the Appointment Scheduling tab in the customization manager to display the Open Hours as 12-hour times instead of in military time.

Aeon - ArchivesSpace Client addon - allow staff to choose which instance to import
The University of Pittsburgh would like the ability to choose which instance to import when material is linked to more than one instance. Right now, Aeon imports the first listed instance. If the first listed instance is a digital object, Aeon imports that information instead of the physical container information.

Appointments - different configurations for different request forms
Boston Public Library would like the ability to have certain request forms, based on the format of the requested material, require longer lead times for appointment scheduling that are different from the reading room's typical appointment settings. The University of Pittsburgh would like to have some web request forms that are intended to be used by staff who don't have access to the Aeon client but need to submit requests for preservation, to not require appointments, while the other patron web request forms do require appointments.

Allow appointments to be required for only one auth type
Some sites require appointments for external/non-affiliated researchers but not for campus affiliates. Ex: students can continue to walk-in to see materials, but a visiting researcher must make an appointment.

Allow users to select multiple dates/date spans in the Aeon appointment calendar
We desperately need for users to be able to choose more than one date on the calendar via a single request form. For researchers visiting for one week, for example, we would like them to be able to select their needed materials (from a finding aid, for example), and then be able to select the entire week they propose to visit, as opposed to having to submit a form for each day they want to visit (what if they are viewing one large collection for that entire week, for example - now they have to submit a form for each…

Support alternate date formats in web date pickers
In both the Scheduled Date calendar and Appointment calendars, Aeon should support alternate (non-US) date formats, such as DD/MM/YYYY.

Create separate key for request limits for activities
Allow sites to set request limits for activities, separate from the user's request limit. Would also like to limit requests by location (room/space used for activity).

Add additional clearance options or option to create custom clearance statuses
Some sites would like to use Disavow ONLY as a security status for users who should not be allowed to use materials. Merging users should include more nuance and set clearance status as Duplicate (or something custom) rather than Disavowed so staff can more easily differentiate between inactive users.

Different parameters for cleared and uncleared users
We would like the ability to establish different parameters for appointment-making/request-adding for cleared (established) and uncleared (new) users to facilitate paging from the Reading Room.

Add -force option to Aeon Server update scripts
Add -force option to Aeon Server update scripts to make the update scripts download and install the latest, no matter what.
A couple of times I've run into instances where the update scripts failed for some reason, but then subsequent runs state no updates are available, yet some of the files have not been updated.

Add "open" exception type to appointment scheduling tab
Allow staff to set an "open" exception for cases where the reading room is open. For example: if the reading room is open one Saturday per month, it would be preferable to set the open hours for Saturday and check a box to indicate the library is closed. But then add an "open" exception to indicate which Saturday is open rather than adding exceptions for all closed days.
