  1. Would like a way to automate the resend request process

    Currently, staff have to send an email to the lending library to request a resend. ILLiad doesn't necessarily know that the item has been resent and the original document conflicts with the new version. Also, the message itself for a resend is not in ILLiad or Odyssey or any other system.

  2. Allow ILLiad to receive a renewal request once it has been requested in ILS, so that ILLiad can request the renewal from the lending library

    If items from other libraries are checked out to users in the ILS, when that user places a renewal request, ILLiad needs to know about it so it can ask the lending library for a renewal.

  3. Have OCLC search default to serials *and* internet resources by default for journals

    Many electronic journals are classified as internet resources versus a serial, so both need to be selected in a search

  4. Allow borrowing articles to deliver immediately via trusted sender and auto bill the default amount to the user

    If every user is always charged $x for an article, there is no reason for staff to mediate those. The billing could be added and the article delivered to the user.

  7. Allow lending staff to set a document type which would modify the due date

    For videos etc. the due date is different than standard loans. When the request comes in from OCLC or any other system, we don't yet know what format it is necessarily. But when staff choose that format in the document type field, ILLiad could change the due date to a new value based on a customization key.

  8. When creating new users in the staff client, default to electronic notification options

    Currently, none of the notification check boxes are checked by default on the new user form. Staff have to remember which of the check boxes to check to set a new user to receive all electronic notifications. It would be good to have a setting that made those check boxes checked by default.

  9. Allow Z39.50 searches to work with servers that don't support unicode

    Several Z39.50 servers don't support Unicode or non-ASCII characters. If the ILLiad title has those characters in it, the search returns no results. It may be necessary to replace characters with their Latin equivalent before searching.

  11. Treat Checked Out to ILL Staff the same as Checked Out to Customer in the staff client

    Currently, Checked Out to ILL Staff behaves like a processing queue in the staff client versus like Checked Out to Customer. So Request Sent shows as an option versus the standard options for a checked out item.

  12. Improve normalization of journal titles for copyright searching and counting against rule of five

    Some titles have carriage returns, trailing spaces, and abbreviations that make the rule of five not match. Also, journals change title throughout their run. Should the copyright query count another field like ISSN, OCLC Number, or some other field?

  14. Allow cloned requests to be routed

    Option 1: Add a tracking entry that is created before the routing rule is triggered so that the routing rule can reference the tracking table.

    Option 2: Create a new menu option of Clone and Route that prompts the staff user to pick the new queue.

  15. Default OpenURL journal genre to article form instead of loan form

    Most examples of OpenURL with the "journal" genre are still article requests versus a request for a loan of the entire journal. Data would not be lost if we use the article request form instead.
