Deliver accessible PDFs via Odyssey--i.e. run PDFs through software to OCR before delivery Our campus wants us to deliver accessible PDFs for faculty who post files online for classes. Many libraries scan as images and deliver via Odyssey as part of the scanning process. They don't have opportunity to OCR files before delivery.

When processing incoming borrowing requests, allow to search on any number the same way it works to process lending returns You receive a book in borrowing and the default search box is TN, which you almost NEVER have...you usually just have the OCLC ILL number or the not-helpful TN from the lender. In lending, there is one box from which to scan any number when processing lending returns. Would like this same feature in borrowing side.

When non-OCLC library creates an LWeb account, have a registration workflow built in to check legitimacy before they can submit requests We want non-OCLC libraries to be able to create their own accounts, and to be able to make that process more transparent. However, right now, anyone can create an account and immediately place requests.
After catching some illegitimate requests entered in this way we made a routing rule to review LWeb requests, but it would be better to have the workflow built into the system, so we can better manage approving, expiring, blocking, and communicating with non-OCLC libraries.

Set the addon interval per server addon It would be nice to be able to set the interval or specific time(s) that each server addon runs, rather than have them all run at the same interval. Some that I have only need to run once a day, while others need to run constantly.

Remove editing options for admin Lending and Unmatched user accounts. Johns Hopkins had a mishap where the Lending user for one of the shared server sites had its NVTGC changed in the Location dropdown in the Staff Client. This moved all of the site's Lending requests into the other site's view. Perhaps we could consider removing the ability to edit the "Lending User" accounts and the Unmatched accounts.

I'd like to have the power to make mass changes such as changing Department Names. example: Our Political Science department changed their name. I want to be able to make this change to all the existing patrons it would apply to.

Unattended configuration of Atlas SQL Alias Manager There is currently (according to Atlas Systems support) no method for setting a logon.dbc file as the default for ILLiad (and related applications) in a scripted/automated/unattended manner. When setting up large numbers of computers, this would be a handy feature.

expanded off-times (lower case) flexibility. Copy RAPID's off-times where we can set off times by time as well as by date. We also had a need for a more immediate closure before the 24 hour limit where we had to close for a hurricane. It would have been nice to set the non-lender status closer to the event instead of putting it a day later.

Update the Default Browser Several of our library's databases don't play nice with IE anymore, so when searching for an article while in ILLiad, we have to cut and paste the link into another browser before we can continue the search. This would (hopefully) be eliminated if IE were not the default browser.

Add “Accessibility Required” or “OCR Required” to the checklist under Accept Alternate Edition. We are seeing an increasing demand for high quality OCR’d copies for accessibility needs. We need an easy way to include this information with the request when it is sent to a potential lender.

Allow for custom workflows in reporting Some institutions have custom workflows that cause ILLiad custom reports not to work properly for statistics. Ticket #7411 requests that we find a way to accommodate requests not going through "Request in Processing" on the lending side.

Custom Pop-ups Allow the creation of pop-up messages based on custom parameters. For example, I would like to create a pop-up that appears for flagged items when processing lending returns.

Add the ability to increase font size within ILLiad without impacting other application The current font size in the staff interface is not adjustable within the application. It would be useful and decrease eye strain if the font could be adjusted to user preferences, Regular, Large or Extra Large maybe? When the Windows font size is adjusted, it affects all other programs making them too large.

Ability to make OCLC borrowing requests from a custom queue The functions to create an OCLC borrowing request are not available until the request is opened from the Awaiting Request Processing queue. It would be helpful to be able to create OCLC requests from a custom queue eliminating extra steps for processing items that might routed to a custom queue for review.

Add a Mark Found/Scan Now button to borrowing requests This button is in Lending and DocDel. Often we find items online or they are delivered via Email from the lender. It would be so much quicker and easier to open the request and hit a Mark Found Scan Now button to import the document instead of going out of the request and opening the Electronic Delivery/Borrowing Scanning. It would save a number of clicks and steps and time.
