  1. Add 'accommodations needed' field to appointment form

    Purdue University would like for patrons to be able to request needed accommodations for their reading room appointments, such as a magnifying glass or extra light. They are currently using the Special Requests field to collect this info, but they would like for a dedicated field that is part of the appointment form so that they can include acknowledgement of the request when they send the appointment confirmation email.

  2. Add "Print Request" button to User Appointment ribbon

    Hi,

    We would love to see Aeon add the "Print Request" button to User Appointment ribbon. For offsite materials, printing a duplicate callslip is unnecessary and these print request pick lists are helpful for our paging procedures.

  4. Add "Ready for Paging" status and make available via web Actions menu

    Some reading rooms would like the option for patrons to notify staff when materials should be paged, either before or during an appointment/reading room visit. Adding a Ready for Paging status to the web actions menu would allow patrons to submit requests when ready. Like Remove from Hold, this action should be available only when a request is in a specific status - Awaiting Request Processing. There should be a key or other setting allowing sites to turn this option on or off depending on their retrieval process.

    If an email is not desired, staff can choose the Confirm only option. Or add a key to determine the default behavior.

  6. Allow for custom fields to be added to patron appointment request

    California State University L.A. would like to have a drop-down field on the appointment form for the patron to choose the purpose of their appointment. They don't want the field to be on the request form, because the patron would have to select the purpose for each item request for that appointment if the field was required. And they have many returning researchers, so they don't want the field to be on the user registration, as it is more specific to the appointment/reason for the visit.

  7. Aeon Appointments: Add a way to handle schedule changes in advance

    Ex: We are going to have renovations this summer and we will shift the Wednesday hours from 11-6, with lunch recess from 1-2 to 10am-5pm with lunch from 12-1. I want to only change the calendar for the 3 months of summer. My concern is that if I change the official reading room schedule it will impact the availability in the fall and other people planning their future visits to the library outside of our altered summer schedule.

    The only current workaround for this is to update the open hours and then create exceptions for all dates that do not currently fit that schedule. This is onerous…

  9. Add Route menu and Save button to the new Appointments window

    The new and enhanced appointments window in the client has many great options. What would make this window even more functional is adding the Route Menu to the top menu. With this added, we can then, post-appointment confirmation, route all the associated requests to the queue where they need to be (as well as check materials out from here as well). In addition, if we can have a Save button in addition to Save and Close, that would be good too.

  10. Activities - incorporate some course reserve-type functions

    Purdue University has a number of classes (which will be Aeon activities) where students go to the reading room to look at course materials on their own time. The students will first make an appointment in the Aeon patron web interface. Then when they arrive onsite, the requests will be cloned from the activity and checked out to the student. Purdue would like for there to be more visible connectivity/relationships between the activity record, the appointment, and the cloned requests.   12. AlmaPrimoDefinitiveCatalogAddon - Import copy number from item record

    In this new version of the AlmaPrimo addon, we are no longer able to import the copy number (copyid imported from the item record). In the previous AlmaPrimo VE catalog addon we were able to do this. We would like this functionality to be restored to the addon.

  13. Dynamic statuses for remaining days to view uploaded scans

    Boston Public Library would like for there to be a dynamic status line that lets patrons know how many days they have left to download an electronically delivered scan on the Aeon web interface. There should be a dynamic status for each available download if there are more that one available at the same time.

  16. Length of appointment should accurately reflect available length on each day

    Purdue University allows for all day appointments, so their longest time span is 9 hours. However, there is one day where they open for 8 hours. Their hours are set up correctly for each day, but the "9 hours" option still displays on the 8-hour day, most likely from the Maximum Appointment Length setting. If the patron selects the "9 hours' option, there are no available appointment times to choose from in the Appointment Time field.

  18. Photoduplication - block requests once a patron has reached a page limit

    From the University of Tulsa: Some of our collections contain huge troves of unpublished manuscripts, which has caused issues with copyright violations. Patrons can request scans of up to 200 pages from a single collection in a 6-month period. Is there a feature that will help us automate that policy? Flagging accounts, or blocking those requests from going through once the system records that a patron has successfully received a certain page count, or even stopping the request before it goes to submission?

  19. Edit invalid appointment time

    The error message users get when trying to create an appointment outside of valid hours currently it says: "Validation error: Conflict with existing appointment."

    This status message comes from the Aeon DLL and cannot be edited. It would be great if this was added as a configurable status message in the Customization Manager.
