  1. Way for users to request a rescan within the system

    There is no way for a user to request a rescan within Ares and allow for staff to correct it within the system.

  6. Allow instructors to search items across courses in web

    Students can search for items across all active courses. Instructors would like to search in this same way. Ideally it would show results for active courses and all courses (possibly below).

  9. Allow instructors to submit multiple requests at once

    How would sites like this to work? Would the instructor need to create an Excel file? Or would they paste a series of citations and staff would have to interpret them?

  10. ADA compliant staff client

    Staff would like to be able to change the size/font without the screens being squished. Currently, increasing the font size or resolution on Windows makes certain buttons and menu options not visible.

  11. Would like to organize items in folders versus tags on the web

    Sites who used to use Docutek miss the option of organizing items in folders. Tags don't seem to be as desirable.

  14. Workaround security issues with edge browser in hosted LMS environment

    The MS Edge browser has become particularly stringent in enforcing security matters. In particular, when using Canvas (hosted) with an in-domain Ares server through LTI Edge will sometimes refuse to display the Ares interface. This has been confirmed while working with Angela. The workaround to move the Ares server is somewhat undesirable, as is reminding users to use a different browser.

  15. Allow for sorting by Article Title instead of Journal Title in the web

    Currently, Article Title is appended to the Journal Title field for displaying in the web, making it impossible to sort on instead of Journal Title.

  18. Allow Ares to receive additional attributes, such as first name, last name, email, and department, from Shibboleth.

    Allow for Ares to recognize additional user attributes in remote auth headers. User status (student, faculty) would also be helpful. The info would be used to populate the user record in Ares.

  19. Ability to submit copyright orders in bulk for multiple sections

    If each section has the same article, it would be good to submit it as a bulk request for all the sections at once versus each one individually.

  20. Convert Ares to use UTC time

    This would allow the times to display correctly for each site's time zone regardless of where the SQL server is hosted.
