  3. Automated email to remind patrons that their reproductions are about to expire

    Purdue University would like for Aeon to send email reminders to patrons for when their uploaded reproduction files are about to expire (electronic delivery cleanup).

  4. Confirm that a patron has read an email sent from Aeon

    Purdue University would like for Aeon to confirm that a patron has received and read an email sent from Aeon, especially with the Item Delivered email that contains the information for accessing reproductions.

  6. AlmaPrimoDefinitiveCatalogAddon - Import copy number from item record

    In this new version of the AlmaPrimo addon, we are no longer able to import the copy number (copyid imported from the item record). In the previous AlmaPrimo VE catalog addon we were able to do this. We would like this functionality to be restored to the addon.

  7. Add "Ready for Paging" status and make available via web Actions menu

    Some reading rooms would like the option for patrons to notify staff when materials should be paged, either before or during an appointment/reading room visit. Adding a Ready for Paging status to the web actions menu would allow patrons to submit requests when ready. Like Remove from Hold, this action should be available only when a request is in a specific status - Awaiting Request Processing. There should be a key or other setting allowing sites to turn this option on or off depending on their retrieval process.

  8. Restore "bright yellow" highlighting for modified but unsaved field values

    Restore "bright yellow" highlighting for modified but unsaved field values or provide options for skin color palette customization. Previous default highlight color (#FEFD35) was well-liked by staff and none of the current skins offer a comparable attention-grabbing option.

  9. Ability to remove the fax option from the NotificationMethod field

    A few libraries have requested this option. They would like to remove the fax option from the standard NotificationMethod drop-down. These options are hardcoded and cannot be controlled in the custom drop-down table in the customization manager. We did create a custom field with the necessary configurations, and updated the relevant registration web pages. One library, New York State Archives, is experiencing bugginess with this custom field because they have an unusual workflow for creating patrons. Purdue University, University of Tulsa, Cal State LA, and University of Washington also asked for the fax option to be removed.

  10. Enable Recurring Appointments

    Some of our researchers are requesting recurring appointments in our Reading Room, but we currently have to create a separate appointment for each individual date. It would be so helpful to be able to schedule those appointments all at once!

  11. Allow for custom fields to be added to patron appointment request

    California State University L.A. would like to have a drop-down field on the appointment form for the patron to choose the purpose of their appointment. They don't want the field to be on the request form, because the patron would have to select the purpose for each item request for that appointment if the field was required. And they have many returning researchers, so they don't want the field to be on the user registration, as it is more specific to the appointment/reason for the visit.

  13. Allow request submittal after appointment StartTime has begun

    Many reading rooms allow request submittal after the appointment time starts. If the Appointment mindleaddays is set to 0, this should allow the user to submit requests until the appointment StopTime.

    Alternately, if lead time is required, add a new key to indicate whether requests can be submitted while the user is signed in for their appointment.

  14. Aeon Appointments: Add a way to handle schedule changes in advance

    Ex: We are going to have renovations this summer and we will shift the Wednesday hours from 11-6, with lunch recess from 1-2 to 10am-5pm with lunch from 12-1. I want to only change the calendar for the 3 months of summer. My concern is that if I change the official reading room schedule it will impact the availability in the fall and other people planning their future visits to the library outside of our altered summer schedule.

    The only current workaround for this is to update the open hours and then create exceptions for all dates that do not currently fit that schedule. This is onerous…

  15. Automated routing of requests once Appointment is confirmed

    In the new Appointments confirmation process, requests still need to be routed to Appointment Confirmed (for example), and since there is no Route menu on the Appointments window (I think that's another enhancement), it's some extra steps for staff.

    Would it be possible to have the option so when an appointment is confirmed using the Confirm button on the Appointment window, all associated requests are automatically routed to Appointment Confirmed? (Kind of like how hitting Print Callslip routes requests automatically into Item Being Paged.)

  17. Import location information from ArchivesSpace in requests received by other external systems.

    If a request is received in Aeon from a system that is not the system of record like ArchivesSpace, auto retrieve the matching record ArchivesSpace location and update the Aeon request. Sometimes external systems are not updated real time and the location may have changed. This would prevent staff going to retrieve items in the wrong location and then needing to do detective work to find the correct location in ASpace and retrieve again.

    I've recently noticed that diacritics appear as weird symbols when they are inserted into Aeon from ArchiveSpace.

  19. Length of appointment should accurately reflect available length on each day

    Purdue University allows for all day appointments, so their longest time span is 9 hours. However, there is one day where they open for 8 hours. Their hours are set up correctly for each day, but the "9 hours" option still displays on the 8-hour day, most likely from the Maximum Appointment Length setting. If the patron selects the "9 hours' option, there are no available appointment times to choose from in the Appointment Time field.

  20. Add 'accommodations needed' field to appointment form

    Purdue University would like for patrons to be able to request needed accommodations for their reading room appointments, such as a magnifying glass or extra light. They are currently using the Special Requests field to collect this info, but they would like for a dedicated field that is part of the appointment form so that they can include acknowledgement of the request when they send the appointment confirmation email.
