Mark staff as inactive in staff manager It would be nice to have the ability to mark staff as Inactive in the staff client. Our staff list is starting to grow as people rotate through, especially students and project archivists. Marking staff inactive would allow us to filter the list, and also it could be a convenient way to prevent disable inactive accounts from logging in.

Allow NewAuthRegistration to behave like NewUserRegistration after remote authentication When patrons register via AeonAuth (non-shib), they are taken to the First Time Users page, asked to click through to agree to the policies, and then directed to the registration page.
NewAuthRegistration (via Shib) behaves differently and there is only one form where both the First Time policies and registration form are present after authentication.
Sites would like for patrons to see the First Time Users page separately from NewAuthRegistration.

Add the option to clone requests to the activity form processing ribbon Staff would like the ability to clone multiple requests from an activity to an individual user in bulk. A current workaround is to clone the activity, select the appropriate requests to clone to the new user, then when the requests are created, clear the association to the activity and delete the activity, but this is pretty cumbersome.

Uncleared users should expire in the same way as cleared users Most users that just make photoduplication requests never get cleared and so they never expire and get prompted to update their contact information. It would be helpful for all users to expire regardless of whether they have ever been cleared.

When uploading an item for a photoduplication request, set the default file type to All Files. When uploading an item for a photoduplication request, the Open dialog box defaults to displaying PDF files. Aeon users may be delivering a lot of different file types through Aeon, so the Open dialog box should show all file types by default

Add ability to customize the Cancellation Message -- Cancelled by Customer When a request is cancelled by the user, the message that is displayed in the web for Reason for Cancellation is "Cancelled by Customer." Having the ability to edit that text would allow consistency across web pages if edits have been made to address Users as Researchers or Patrons rather than Customers.

Adjust request limit logic so that photoduplication requests do not count against request limit. Requests submitted for photoduplication go to Awaiting Request Processing | Awaiting Order Processing initially. Because the requests hit Awaiting Request Processing, photoduplication requests currently count against a patron's request limit until they are moved into a photoduplication queue.
Sites should have the option to choose whether photoduplication requests count against a patron's limit.

Add tracking to request history when item is uploaded No tracking entry is added when files are uploaded for photoduplication requests. Add entry in tracking table to indicate file was uploaded as there is currently no way to know aside from clicking the Upload Item button a second time to get an dialog box indicating a file has already been uploaded.

Add a notification to Aeon client for new signed-in users It would be great to have a notification in the Aeon cient for new signed-in users. We have our site set up so that the receptionist signs users into Aeon when they arrive, and then they walk upstairs to the reading room, where they are assigned a seat number by the reading room supervisor.
The reading room staff would find it helpful to get a pop-up notification for new signed-in users so they know when to expect people walking into the reading room.
We would want an alert every time they sign in, not just on the first visit.

Option to Print a Callslip from Awaiting Future Request Processing It would be helpful to be able to print callslips from the Awaiting Future Request Processing queue/status and have the requests route to In Item Retrieval. There are times when staff might page materials from this queue.

Allow users in the Staff Manager to delete grid settings for multiple staff at once Currently, grid settings have to be deleted individually for each user in the Staff Manager. If a change is made to the layout template and grid settings need to be cleared, it can be cumbersome and time-consuming to select each staff person individually and click Delete Grid Settings. The option to select multiple staff and clear grid settings for all users selected would be preferable.

Schedule Staff Notifications in Aeon Client We have recently been thinking about how we can improve our staff communications in the Reading Room. We often have instances where staff need to be alerted to special arrangements, updates or events in the Reading Room in a timely manner.
It occurred to me that the functionality we are looking for is much like that available in the Aeon system when alert pop-ups occur for new requests for processing and users waiting to be cleared.
It would be ideal if editable alerts could be scheduled so that when staff log in to the Aeon Client, a pop-up appears with…

Create addon to add an expiration date to a queue and automatically route requests once the date parameter has passed In the staff client, requests in the Item on Hold queue have no expiration, but most sites allow holds for 1-2 weeks. Create an addon that allows site to determine queue and number of days for requests to stay in that queue. When the number of days has elapsed, automatically route the request to another queue. EX: if a request is in Item on Hold and is allowed to be on hold for 2 weeks, set expiration for 14 days. When 14 days has passed, automatically route the request to Remove from Hold so staff can reshelve.

Ability to edit default batch process options We'd love to be able to edit the starting status and end status of the default batch process options (Check Out, Place on Hold, Reshelve Item, Item Reshelved, Item Delivered.) The default batch process rules don't recognize any custom queues, so whenever we process requests with a custom status it triggers a pop-up warning that the status is non-standard. Having to click through the pop-up each time really slows down our workflows.

Alternate User Status for Accounts that have been Merged Create a way to separate users that have been disavowed through the merging process v. those that are disavowed for other reasons.

Increase field lengths in LocalInfo table In the LocalInfo table, SystemName, InstitutionName, and LibraryName are limited to 50 characters. Institutions with multiple sites often wish to combine library names into 1 field or create a system name that is slightly longer. Increasing the character limit to 100 for these fields would provide added flexibility.

Specify a hold location in its own field for each item Sites could benefit from a "hold location" field in the Transactions table for each item. When the item is placed on the hold shelf, staff can designate that location (similar to choosing a table when signing a person into the reading room). That value would then display in the grid for all items on hold and would automatically clear when the item was checked back in without staff having to remember to clear it.

Rather than using additional queues or flags, we could create separate customizable functionality to allow you to specify a hold location when you click the Item on Hold button or use the Item on Hold batch process. Would this be an acceptable solution?

Permit scheduling of recurring Web Alerts We want to schedule our "Reminder: no paging on Saturdays" web alert to display on Fridays and Saturdays only. Currently, we have to move the Active Date and Expiration Date by hand each week.

Support for the Square payment gateway The Boston Athenaeum uses Square for our other payments and we would love to be able to use it with Aeon as well, rather than using another payment gateway. https://squareup.com/developers

Pull in/map additional data from remote auth login to Aeon user registration. Allow better mapping of additional information from LDAP and Shibboleth for remote auth registration.
Example: if value passing as username is email address, also allow this value to populate the Email Address field on the registration form.
