  1. Add a refresh button to the ILLiad user - Requests tab.

It would be nice if you could refresh the status and number of requests in an ILLiad user (request tab) without a close/reopen.

  2. Highlight active requests that you've worked on but need to follow up on

An option to highlight requests in a queue so if you've opened it, you know you've already worked on it or need to follow up on it later. Ability to assign different colors based on your labeling preferences.

  3. 9.1 replacement for Expires table tag to display pdf expiration date

The old web pages displayed an 'Expires' date on the table of electronically delivered articles. This let users know how long they had before they would have before the PDF disappeared.
There is no way to include this in the new 9.1 web pages since table tags are no longer supported. It would be great to have something to replace this, using DaysBeforeElectronicDeliveryCleanup and the transaction's tracking entries to determine when it was first Delivered to Web to calculate the expiration date.

  4. Turn off animations on Due Date calendar in Client

When trying to change the due date in ILLiad using the built-in calendar, moving through the months using the arrows results in an animation, and you can’t scroll to the next month until the animation stops for the current month. It’s just a fraction of a second, but when we receive a generous renewal of several months, it’s an annoyance to have to wait for the animation before moving to the next month, rather than having the month load instantly as it does in many built-in calendars in other software/apps. (Workaround: I'll try to get in the habit of typing…

  5. Match on TN in the Electronic Delivery Process form

Relais FTP process does not allow the inclusion of the ILL Number from Docline requests (I assume OCLC requests either) so the received xml file only has the DocumentID for Sender and Receiver. The Electronic Delivery Process does not match the file to the request on the TN even though it displays in the form. Please enhance to match the received Odyssey file to the request by the TN if the ILL number is not included in the xml file.

  6. Routing Queue saved to Quick Access Toolbar should remain after logged out of ILLiad.

Currently, routing queues added to the quick access toolbar disappear once someone logs out of ILLiad. It would be nice if the quick access toolbar saved any customization instead of having to added routing queue every time someone logs into ILLiad.

  7. Sites should be limited to view Web Alerts to only those created by their staff

For sites within a consortium, it would be a good idea to limit sites to view Web Alerts only to those created by their staff i.e. limit to view those created by their NVTGC.

The delete option also should be restricted to the Web Alerts created by their own staff/NVTGC. Otherwise their is danger of the wrong alert (Alert of another institution) inadvertently getting deleted.

  8. Support OAuth 2.0 for SMPT Authentication

My institution uses Microsoft for email and would like to use OAuth 2.0 to authenticate in ILLiad. We currently use a local SMTP server to send emails using a university account, allowing ILLiad emails to come from a trusted university address. However, my IT department informed me that Microsoft will no longer allow this type of configuration and recommends that library applications use OAuth 2.0 to authenticate to the server before sending emails. It is my understanding that OAuth 2.0 is more secure than ILLiad's current SMTP login as OAuth does not pass credentials. I know that other library vendors,…

  9. Allow conditionals based on OpenURL fields

We would like to be able to add a function to the OpenURL configs such that we can take a value and interpret an ILLiad value from it.

For instance, as rft.lib=UNIV needs to translate to LendingString=EMU.

We had scripts for this before, but we're migrating to OpenURLs and APIs, so this enhancement would be very appreciated.

  10. Pre-populate the ILLiad loan request form with values from the patron search in ReShare

When a user gets an "End of ROTA " notification from the PALCI/EZ Borrow system (on REShare platform), pre-populate the ILLiad loan request form with the values from the patron's search.

  11. Show WorldShare's "Lost" button in received borrowing loan requests

WorldShare has a "Lost" button that appears on all all Received loans (including overdue items and those in any renewal status, even renewal denied). When you click the "Lost" button, the item moves to "RECEIVED_MISSING" in OCLC, which makes it much easier for the lending library to close the transaction once they receive the replacement payment for a lost item.

It would be helpful to have the ability to choose "Lost" on the OCLC record directly within ILLiad, in the OCLC ribbon alongside Complete/Receive/Not Received/Return/etc.

  12. Replace removed NotWantedAfter field and associated dropdown calendar on default web forms

The NotWantedAfter field was removed as a default from the 9.1 ILLiad web pages. This should be be replaced, with the corresponding hidden field removed, and a dropdown calendar should appear when clicking in the field box, as in previous versions of ILLiad. This feature was appreciated by our patrons and desired for the 9.1 pages. (write up by Kerry).

  13. Allow borrowing library to update OCLC Status to RECIEVED if still in CONSIDERING status

It would be really helpful if borrowing libraries could update the OCLC Status to Received if the lending library forgets to update the request to Shipped, but the borrower receives the item anyway. We then have to contact the lending library and hope that they update the status to Shipped before the request expires. Even having a warning message pop up in ILLiad when trying to check the item in that says the status is CONSIDERING would be incredibly helpful.

  14. Refine Transaction Permissions for Borrowing Write in ILLiad Staff Manager

Currently in ILLiad Staff Manager, under Transaction Permissions, if a staff is granted Borrowing Write permission, that person will be able to access, modify, process and impact all Borrowing TNs. We would like to be able to limit staff to Check In From Lending Library and Print Receives functions only, and deny the staff the ability to modify TNs in Awaiting Request Processing queue and other more "sensitive" queues.

  15. Add autofocus to the first field on all ILLiad web forms (request forms, search page, etc.)

It would enhance accessibility if each of the ILLiad 9.1 forms (request forms, search page, new user info, reset password, login, etc.) used the autofocus feature to activate the cursor in the first blank field. See: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_input_autofocus.asp We're working on adding this manually to our pages, but having it in the pages by default would be better!

  16. Make sure all accounts that log in with past Expiration Dates must go through the Expired Users page and update their information

Users with old expired stub accounts are not prompted to update their information when logging into their ILLiad accounts again. The account status goes from Cleared=NEW to Cleared=NO, and ExpirationDate isn't checked/updated because the account was technically already created.

We need ILLiad to check whether an account is expired or overwriting an existing expiration date. Having a patron from 2012 able to submit requests without updating their contact information or preferences is a real problem for us -- patrons can and do change their email addresses, and we allow patrons to choose to have loans delivered to their home if…

  18. Auto due date/overdue reminders should continue, even after an item has reached "very overdue"

If an item gets to the stage of "very overdue" in ILLiad and then the item is renewed, I've noticed that ILLiad's auto-reminders stop going forward. It would be nice if they continued to be sent, adjusting for the new due date, regardless of the previous overdue history

  19. Conditionally display due date on All Requests web page

On the All Requests page in ILLiad patron web interface, make the display in the “Request Finished” (or similar) status appear without the due date, while the others retain them.
