  2. Merging users: ability to key in letters to find user records or search for names

    If I am not mistaken, the Merge Users function appears to require me to scroll through two (very long, in our case) lists of accounts, and click "Merge" only after having highlighted the duplicate accounts -- one on the left side and one on the right.

    It's time consuming to do this -- so maybe there could be a search bar at the top of both lists, where you can enter the first few letters of any given names.

    And/or: you could have the ability to enter the first few letters of the name to bring you to that record.…

  3. Advance # of days to request - users signed into reading room condition

    My understanding is that in Appointments 2.0, the advance # of days to book an appointment and requests will be split into two keys. In an forthcoming Appointments release, is it possible to create a condition or third key related to users signed into the reading room?

    Our issue right now is that we have users who are in the RR who need to place requests for the afternoon paging time but they cannot because they are limited by the advance days limit - so staff have to ask researchers what they want, tell them to save for later, and…

  4. Remove display of culturally insensitive color names

    The Aeon options menu includes choices to change the color of the search display when users are disavowed, blocked, or anonymous. The color picker menu includes colors with culturally insensitive names. Aeon should use an alternate color picker menu with hex colors.

  5. Pop-up instructions post-submission of a request form

    Would it be possible to have a pop-up or some sort of predictive instructions so that when a user fills out an Aeon request form and submits it, a pop-up asks the user 'do you want to fill out another request? Yes or no?" and if 'yes,' brings the user back to the same request form as before, and if 'no,' brings the user to the Home screen or another page in the account. We have users who fill out a request form and then do not know how to get back to the form to fill out additional requests…

  6. Allow reading rooms to be reordered in Appointment Scheduling tab

    The order in which reading rooms are created dictates how they display in the Reading Room dropdown on the web pages. Add support to drag the reading rooms to change the display order.

  7. Convert Department field to free-text dropdown

    Department field is a dropdown by default, but most sites would prefer a free-text field and instead use an ItemInfo field. Allow Department field to be coded as dropdown or free-text in web and convert Department database field to dropdown/free-text (like Activity Type and Location fields)

    The University of Washington would like to send text messages to patrons about a variety of notifications from Aeon, provided that the patron has requested to be texted.   10. Cancelling an appointment shouldn't automatically cancel requests

    I would also like to see cancelling an appointment not auto route a request to request finished. I would rather see it disassociated with an appointment so that staff can route / clone appropriately.

  11. Changing client passwords -- Add support for disclosing requirements

    Currently, when changing a staff password, the interface presents a person only with a field for entering the password, another for confirming it, a submit button, and a cancel button. If the password doesn't meet complexity requirements as set in Customization Manager, an error is thrown, but only with the message "Password does not meet staff password requirements".

    There should be a customizable way to convey to staff resetting their password what the complexity requirements are, both with the initial reset form and with the error message. (Not just reposting the regex, if that crosses anyone's mind, because reading regex…

  12. Submit requests for photoduplication from ILLiad/Aeon integration to Awaiting Request Processing instead of Submitted by User

    Can implement a routing rule, but this behavior should be built in to minimize confusion. Staff are not in the habit of checking Submitted by User for any other request types.

  14. Add the ability to clone appointments to other dates through the staff client

    I find that it can be helpful to clone previous appointments to a patron, with the adjustment of expected appointment date. This can save steps vs creating a new from scratch.

  15. Ability for staff to view uploaded reproduction in staff client

    The University of Baltimore would like for staff to be able to view the reproduction that was delivered to the patron. They would like a "View" button, similar to the one that already exists for uploading other documentation to the request and user records. They do not want all staff accounts to have access to the "Logon to web" button, and the proposed View button would also be more convenient.

  16. Add support for full-day appointments

    Allow sites to require patrons to book a full-day appointment (1 slot for 1 seat in a day) and improve the interface display for booking appointments when a full-day appointment is offered.

  17. Add conditional header to researcher tags on MainMenu

    Add a header that says "Researcher Tags" before the tag display on MainMenu.html. The header should be conditional and should only display when tags are present, in order to call them out to patrons.

  20. Client: Have fields that allow multiple selections from a controlled vocabulary

    The University of Pittsburgh would like additional data types for custom fields, especially the ability to select multiple options from a controlled vocabulary in fields (custom or default) on the Aeon client side. There is an existing ticket in UserVoice specifically about the research topics field. Pittsburgh would be interested in being able to have multi-select fields in the activity record in order to record necessary stats for activities that fall into multiple categories.
