Extend length of status lines Currently, status line text has a character limit (255?) but this is often not long enough, especially if links are included in the text, as the href code is included in the character count. Status lines should be set to longer character length.

Allow fields from additional tables to be called in the RequestFromFile process It would be useful to allow custom fields, transaction flags, and notes to upload via the RequestFromFile template.

In Staff Manager separate option to reset staff's view of Queues and Queue groupings from Grid settings If you make adjustments to the Staff Template specific to the Queue listing (Home tab), the only way to apply that is to use the Delete Grid options which will also clear out any column order or customization that staff have done to the Q view in their own client. If there were another way to do this it would be very helpful.

Add additional Aeon fields for Z39.50 mapping Boston Public Library is importing their item barcode from their Polaris catalog into Aeon via Z39.50. They would like to be able to map the barcode value to the Aeon Item Number field, which is not currently possible. There is also an ILLiad UserVoice asking for this feature: https://uservoice.atlas-sys.com/forums/581665-illiad-ideas/suggestions/39458122-add-additional-result-mapping-options-for-z39-50

Appointment Based Request Limits It would be great if we had the option to set global request limits as well as appointment specific request limits. Ie, a user may be limited to 20 requests total, but only 5 of those could be for one appointment.

Clearance status in the Appointments tab in the client In the Appointments tab, agenda view, you can currently see the researcher's name, user name, time slot, and number of requests. It would be helpful for there to also be an indication of their clearance status (perhaps with a column for cleared/not cleared, or by using a different text color or background shading for the different statuses). That way, it would be easy to look at the day's researchers and get a feel for how many are new, versus returning. Perhaps clearance status can show up in all the available views if possible.

Add Appointment Info to Signed-in User details It would be helpful if the signed-in users panel displayed the current time duration for a user's appointment so that staff would be easily reminded of each user's time limit

Allow researchers to cancel their appointments up until their appointment time It would be great if researchers could cancel their own appointments within the minimum lead timeframe.

Aeon client - custom search using 'any of' does not allow for editing of criteria Boston Public Library created a custom search based on requests being at one of several identified transaction statuses. After building the search, they realized they wanted to omit one of the selected transaction statuses. There was no way to do this. They had to delete the search and rebuild it from scratch.

Add functionality to display a field (including custom fields) when RequestFor is populated with an activity. When a user submitting a request selects an activity from the Request For dropdown, allow additional fields to display to ask for Date Needed or other data related to activity requests. This relates specifically to sites using appointments, where the appointment fields are hidden when an activity is selected.

Automatically filter out disavowed users from user search When a user has created multiple accounts, one account will be disavowed via the user merge process. However, that account is typically listed first in search results. When a disavowed user's account is selected in a grid, the special highlighting/text color does not persist. Thus it is easy for staff to get confused and click the wrong user record. It would be helpful to have a button like the Active/All requests toggle, set to active by default, to automatically filter disavowed users out of search results to minimize confusion and prevent staff from re-clearing disavowed users.

Would like an email notification from Aeon when a patron has paid for an order Georgia State University is using TouchNet to allow patrons to pay for orders via credit card. It is not enough of a notification that the order status changes to “Awaiting Item Delivery,” as there will be multiple orders in that queue at a time, including for patrons who weren’t charged, as well as pending file delivery from vendors. It’s difficult to understand which requests are new from TouchNet payments. They would ideally like for Aeon to send an email notification, or at least display some kind of flag on the Aeon client. For now, they are looking into TouchNet to…

Adding waitlist functionality for appointment module We would love to see a waitlist functionality for users to sign up for when our reading room is full and a cancellation occurs. It would make slotting existing users in much easier as we're now trying to do this manually / on the fly as cancellations occur.

Allow users to select multiple dates/date spans in the Aeon appointment calendar We desperately need for users to be able to choose more than one date on the calendar via a single request form. For researchers visiting for one week, for example, we would like them to be able to select their needed materials (from a finding aid, for example), and then be able to select the entire week they propose to visit, as opposed to having to submit a form for each day they want to visit (what if they are viewing one large collection for that entire week, for example - now they have to submit a form for each…

Appointments: Remove start and stop time fields The University of Baltimore requires appointments for patron requesting, but would like to remove the start and stop fields from the appointment form. This will allow staff to have more flexibility with controlling access to the reading room. The appointment configuration fields in the customization manager are not fined-tuned enough to allow for per-visit/per-case flexibility.
