Change SSN field to ID This field label has caused some concern/confusion in the past, and I doubt anyone still uses it to store SSNs. Currently we have to implement various customizations to hide the real column name wherever it appears in search grids.

Eliminate the requirement for Microsoft Word. Requiring Microsoft Word to print is problematic with Microsoft 365 because it requires users to authenticate and retains the connection to the user's account. Machines used with a generic account cannot have Microsoft 365 applications installed to protect users from each other. Thus these machines can't be used to print from ILLiad.
There is another proposal to add integration with Google, but that is also limiting. What happens when the next suite comes along?
Better, would be if ILLiad integrated the necessary components of LibreOffice (an open source alternative). Then ILLiad could print without any dependencies on third-party software. It…

Allow borrowing items to be checked in by Web Circ if they are awaiting Renewal or Recalled Processing If items are in the "Awaiting Renewal Request Processing" (including "Awaiting Renewal OK Processing") or "Awaiting Recalled Processing" queues, they should be eligible for checkin via the Web Circ. As it stands, when patrons try to return books that are in one of those queues, they cannot be checked in and require intervention by ILL staff before they can be sent back.

PMID Addon It would be great to have an Addon similar to the existing DOI Addon. If a user on the webform enters a PMID, ILLiad searches and fills in/adjust the rest of the request data.

Add price to Symbol/days to lend grid instead of hovering for that information. Having to hover over a symbol to see the cost while in borrowing trying to build a custom string takes extra time. It would be great if the cost could be displayed right next to the days to fill.

Warning re: Multiple Pieces in Web Circ Add a prompt or warning when an item which has multiple pieces is updated to Mark Returned in Web Circ so that staff are alerted to the fact that more than one items should be returned with that request.

Canceling Lending request when OCLC request is Cancelled should not cause Connection Manager error Currently, if you use the Cancel option to Cancel a lending request when the OCLC status is Cancelled or Record not Found, it will cause a Connection Manager error. While staff can avoid the error by using the routing option to move the request to Cancelled by ILL Staff, it would be helpful if the Connection Manager or the Cancel option could be updated to avoid generating an error so that all Cancellation transactions can be handled in the same manner.

Web based ILLiad client It'd be great to replicate the great ILLiad on the web so that staff can work remotely.

Proxy User Functionality We have teaching assistants/administrative assistants/research assistants who are asked to request materials on behalf of an other ILLiad user. It would be helpful if a proxy account could be created for these assistants to create the request, but for the primary user to be responsible for the item (loan) and notified of delivery (article).

Ability to Delay Notifications Sent from Awaiting Customer Contact queue For items that are picked up at the same location where items are processed, the In Transit to Pickup location step adds an additional processing step. However, skipping this step means that patron notifications are sent immediately and often staff do not have time to finish physical processing before patrons arrive at the desk to pick up items.
Having the ability to set a delay period (e.g. 60 min) between when the request is sent to Awaiting Customer Contact and when the notification is sent would allow staff time to finish physical processing before patrons get the notification.

At Borrowing: Check In From Lending Library, add ability to import New Lender Information from OCLC Policies Directory When receiving an item from a new lender, it would be a big time saver to be able to look up a Policies Directory entry by OCLC Symbol and import the address & contact information into a new ILLIad address, and then return to the request check-in without having to rescan.

Add the ability to anonymize ILLiad transactions There have been requests for a tool to allow sites to anonymize ILLiad transactions similar to the old break the user link scripts. Would like to be able to preserve stats while maintaining confidentiality for patrons.

Allow lending staff to set a document type which would modify the due date For videos etc. the due date is different than standard loans. When the request comes in from OCLC or any other system, we don't yet know what format it is necessarily. But when staff choose that format in the document type field, ILLiad could change the due date to a new value based on a customization key.

Increase font size. Increasing font size fosters a more inclusive and equitable environment. In previous posts regarding font size, Atlas noted that the increase in font size was addressed. However, Atlas' solution to use Windows settings creates other issues. Using Windows to increase font size makes other programs that already have accessible font size lose some functionality. Also, using Windows to "fix" ILLiad's font size inaccessibility, loses page functionality in the client (e.g. the notes field in an open request are no longer visible on the page.)

Article Delivery notices: automated reminder notices It would improve service to be able to send automated reminder notices to patrons a week or so before electronic articles reach the 30-day limit and will be purged from the server. We remind them to download articles, but a second notice would be helpful, either to all patrons or maybe to those whose request history does not show "PDF viewed."

Only display "Reason for Cancellation" in Request Details on the web if the item is currently in a cancelled status. We regularly cancel items that get revived later once the patron has made a decision or change of some sort. When those items are revived, "Reason for Cancellation" continues to show in the Request Details on the web. It would be helpful if this field only displayed if the item was in the status of "Cancelled by ILL Staff" or "Cancelled by Customer", and otherwise was hidden.

Separate email notification template for Library Use Only loans Loans marked Library Use Only should have a separate notification template.
Being able to explain the process for a Library Use Only item without merging it with other notifications would reduce patron confusion. Further, we are now allowing patrons to set their own preferences for Loan Delivery Method, and are mailing some materials. If a patron is set to Mail To Address, ILLiad skips the In Transit queue and immediately sends out notifications! We've had to put in place a special custom queue, and a special custom email, and rely on staff to catch that a request is marked Library…

Ability to print selected pull slips Would love to print from different physical locations but need to be able to select which pull slips (or receives, or whatever!) should be pulled for printing, so that you do not disrupt work at another location.

Email Notification to a user/lender/borrower that is NOT tied to a specific request, but from the user record, or lender address record. It would be great to be able to send an e-mail notification (from a template) to an individual user, lender, or borrower from the user record, or address record for a library. One instance I would use this for would be to provide individualized tracking information that may apply to a large number of requests at one time. Or to alert a patron of an entire list of things they have out--or to let a group of patrons know that we are temporarily suspending a particular aspect of service. Although many of these things could be handled through a regular…
