  1. Addon update notification

    Surface an alert in the ILLiad System Dashboard notifying users that an ILLiad addon in use on the local ILLiad system has been updated in the directory. It can be hard to find out if addon updates are available and it can be tricky to troubleshoot or support if different versions of the addon are installed. Having a notification of an available addon update - that an ILLiad system is using an outdated version of an addon - would save time and troubleshooting as well as help users to benefit sooner from bug/security fixes.

  2. Allow Layout Modification for Queues/Flags that are Currently Empty

    It would be great to have some view in the client of all existing queues and flags, regardless of whether they currently have any requests in them, so that layout and customization of categories can be more thorough.

  3. Make ILLiad Web Circulation's Checked out/in message more prominent

    The current message saying a book was checked in or out is too similar to the text already on the page, and our students never notice it and get confused as to whether a book has actually been checked out. If it was even just bold, in red, or a little bit larger font, it would stand out a lot more.

  6. Email Notification to a user/lender/borrower that is NOT tied to a specific request, but from the user record, or lender address record.

    It would be great to be able to send an e-mail notification (from a template) to an individual user, lender, or borrower from the user record, or address record for a library. One instance I would use this for would be to provide individualized tracking information that may apply to a large number of requests at one time. Or to alert a patron of an entire list of things they have out--or to let a group of patrons know that we are temporarily suspending a particular aspect of service.   7. Add optional Reply-To header in email templates

    In cases where SMTP authentication requires a single sending "From" address, it would be nice to allow a variable Reply-To address in email notification templates so that replies to particular notifications could arrive in distinct mailboxes.

  8. In-library use option for checking-out and checking-in items in Web Circ

    Could you provide a Web Circ option for checking-out and checking-in in-library use items multiple times for a patron? Currently, we don't have an electronic means of tracking when an in-library use item has been removed from our ILL pick up shelf or is being consulted by our patrons.

  9. Remove trim function from ILLiad web password login

    When users log into ILLiad web form to make requests or manage their Illiad account, the ILLiad.dll is trimming spaces from the beginning and end of the password entered. Through LDAP we use our campus Active Directory credentials to let users log into ILLiad. Our campus now has active directory password requirements of including a space (to create a pass phrase). Some users are choosing to put the space at the beginning or end of their password, and because ILLiad is trimming spaces, they cannot log into ILLiad. I don't think ILLiad should be altering passwords entered by the patrons…

  10. Enable credit card payments in ILLiad

    I noticed that Aeon can accommodate credit card payments. For our purposes it would be great if ILLiad do the same. We have a home grown tool that allows individuals and companies not affiliated with our institution or another academic institution to place requests for copies of articles or to borrow books. We facilitate these transactions via web forms and credit card payment through cybersource (a 3rd party secure payment system). Essentially, we would like to be able to manage these types of requests in ILLiad.

  11. ISSN/ISBN automatically added on "request sent" page

    When sending a borrowing request in ILLiad, have ILLiad bring the ISBN/ISSN from the record selected over from the work form to the main request page, as it does with OCLC numbers/titles. This would help ensure accuracy with the standard number and assist with collecting stats.

  12. See last opened request

    Could there be a way to see a list of the last 5 or so requests that a staff person opened? We sometimes forget to place notes or verify a piece of information before it gets routed to the next step. Titles or usernames are not always remembered correctly to find the request again. Even just the last request opened would be helpful.

  14. Create an alert to catch Connection Manager hangups.

    From ticket 887: It would be nice if you could develop some sort of alert to let you know that the server needs to be restarted. By the time I realize anything might be wrong things are already pretty bogged up.

    Maybe something that allows an alert to check Connection Manager with no downloads in 2 or 4 hours or similar. Configurable per site due to volume variation. This would be for when Connection Manager is running but gets hung up for whatever reason and requests do not download from OCLC as they should.

  15. Simplify renewals processing in both borrowing and lending

    Can the due date in the "Renewed by Customer to MM/DD/YYYY" queue be copied automatically into the Due Date Field in the Transactions table so staff don't have to do this manually (and and NCIP message be sent too if needed). If we do automatic renewal processing in Lending, when a request comes in can it have it's due date automatically updated rather than staff having to push a button?

  16. Re-design how RUSH requests are auto-routed and assign service level

    Lending to Rush University (Docline symbol ILURUS/OCLC symbol IDL) and every request comes into the Awaiting RUSH Request Processing queue inaccurately assigning a service level to Docline tickets that don't have that service level. Ticket 5397

  17. Create a new status for 'PDF Viewed' to work in conjunction with the current TransactionStatus 'Delivered to Web'

    We are trying to improve communication with patrons regarding electronic delivery of articles, especially when they have many items displayed in the Electronically Received Articles section of the web interface. We want users to know at a glance - which articles are available AND whether they have already been viewed. Including the date to be deleted (e.g. via the 'Expires' tag) would also be helpful, but my immediate request is to make information from the History table ('PDF Viewed') available for display.     We want to be able to make the action “Clone” ONLY allowed for Completed Requests. We want to remove it from Checked out Items, Outstanding Items, Cancelled Items, and Delivered PDFs.

  19. Improve Z39.50 and FOLIO connection

    There's already a call out to FOLIO to improve how multi-volume holdings appear in XML to make them visible via Z39.50, but it would probably help matters if Atlas Systems and FOLIO worked together to make this improvement for all libraries migrating to FOLIO. https://issues.folio.org/browse/ZF-84

    Basically, if there are multiple volumes of a title, only summary holdings and inaccurate availability status are visible through Z39.50. Some libraries have implemented custom addons to get around this, but this is really a workaround to what should be a standard function.

  20. Ability to add tags to Default Notes field of Cancellation Reasons.

    Cancellation Reasons have associated Default Notes fields. It would be great if tags could be inserted into the Notes fields to auto-fill information.

    Example:
    Cancellation Reason: We could not fill your request by your deadline.
    Default Note:
    You indicated you did not need this item after <#Transaction.NotWantedAfter>. If you would still like to received this item, please ....
