Update the Default Browser
Several of our library's databases don't play nice with IE anymore, so when searching for an article while in ILLiad, we have to cut and paste the link into another browser before we can continue the search. This would (hopefully) be eliminated if IE were not the default browser.

Deliver accessible PDFs via Odyssey--i.e. run PDFs through software to OCR before delivery
Our campus wants us to deliver accessible PDFs for faculty who post files online for classes. Many libraries scan as images and deliver via Odyssey as part of the scanning process. They don't have opportunity to OCR files before delivery.

Billing Manager: send .pdf invoices via email
Billing manager is great for print invoices, but we would like a more integrated way to send email invoices through Billing Manager. Currently, we generate the invoices and then have to break them into individual .pdfs before sending via email or regular mail. It would be great if there was a one click solution to just send the invoice via email to each library.

Allow staff to mass email patrons based on status or other criteria
Allow staff to send an email to ILLiad users based on status or department, etc so that they could send out one email to many people to announce updates, new services, request feedback/survey. Ex. I am going to install ILLiad 9 on Thursday and we will be down for 3 hours. I'd like to email all of the Faculty to let them know and also warn them that they will need to change password upon login.

Allow patrons to request resends or report a problem with the copy (e.g., bad scan)
If patrons have a problem with a received item, they should be able to submit for a re-send within their ILLiad account - currently they have to email/call/come in person. Something like a button for "Report a problem with this document" and a comment field.

Add the ability to increase font size within ILLiad without impacting other application
The current font size in the staff interface is not adjustable within the application. It would be useful and decrease eye strain if the font could be adjusted to user preferences, Regular, Large or Extra Large maybe? When the Windows font size is adjusted, it affects all other programs making them too large.

More ItemInfo and UserInfo fields
Consider increasing the number of ItemInfo and UserInfo fields to more than 5 each. We have already used up all of the ItemInfo fields and have had to re-purpose existing fields to collect the additional information we need in our borrowing requests.

Add “Accessibility Required” or “OCR Required” to the checklist under Accept Alternate Edition.
We are seeing an increasing demand for high quality OCR’d copies for accessibility needs. We need an easy way to include this information with the request when it is sent to a potential lender.

Add a Mark Found/Scan Now button to borrowing requests
This button is in Lending and DocDel. Often we find items online or they are delivered via Email from the lender. It would be so much quicker and easier to open the request and hit a Mark Found Scan Now button to import the document instead of going out of the request and opening the Electronic Delivery/Borrowing Scanning. It would save a number of clicks and steps and time.

Warn or prevent staff from marking requests found after they have aged out to next lender in OCLC
OCLC Lending requests remain in processing queues even when they have aged out and moved to the next lender (or are returned to the borrowing library unfilled, if the library is the last/only in the lending string). Staff are unable to filter by or see the OCLC status in grid views, so individual requests must be opened to see if a request is no longer in a CONSIDERING status and has aged (or even been deleted by or cancelled by the borrower). Ability to suspend patron from loans while still allowing requests for article copies.
We have users who cannot be trusted with book loans, but I still want them to be able to request articles. I'd like a way to block loans but not articles.

When manually routing a request to a new status, display the name of the new status in the confirmation message
In the "Confirm Manually Change Status" box, the only message is "Are you sure you want to manually change this status?"
If this included the new status (eg "Are you sure you want to manually change the status of this request to ____?") this would improve the confirmation process and help to catch when staff accidentally click on the wrong status in the dropdown menu.

Allow tracking of multiple renewals for one request through ILLiad
Currently ILLiad will only track the first renewal for a request. However, many lending libraries allow for multiple renewals, and with current closures this is happening more frequently. It would be helpful to have ILLiad route and track renewals for requests beyond the first one so that the due date in borrowing requests match what the lender has determined.

Include more high contrast skins in ILLiad
Customer requests more high contrast skin options for ILLiad. "in general if there is a dark background a light font is better. Dark on dark is difficult to read." More details and pictures in ticket 8724.

When processing incoming borrowing requests, allow to search on any number the same way it works to process lending returns
You receive a book in borrowing and the default search box is TN, which you almost NEVER have...you usually just have the OCLC ILL number or the not-helpful TN from the lender. In lending, there is one box from which to scan any number when processing lending returns. Would like this same feature in borrowing side.

Eliminate extranneous shipping labels for multi-piece loan transactions
For Lending Loan Shipping Labels, and Borrowing Return Shipping Labels, we only need ONE shipping label per transaction. As is, if we ship a 4-volume set under one transaction number, we get 4 shipping labels. This means that each time we print, we either have to discard extra labels, or take the time to delete the extra labels from the print document.
