Better tracking of OA/DSP/non-standard article delivery in Borrowing Web Reports
Turnaround time Borrowing Web Reports don't have the ability to capture requests filled through OA Addon/DSP. It's important for not just these to be able to be captured and included in statistics, but also for us to separate these and be able to identify these as opposed to other material that's uploaded and delivered. Create a read-only/distributable form of dbc files or the SQL Alias Manager
With SQL Alias Manager 1.3.2 staff with local admin privileges on their desktop or VM’s are no longer able to successfully Set Default (Local Machine) without also requiring Full Control privileges on the folder where the DBC’s reside.
In a shared environment this is an issue because we wouldn't want everyone to have full read/write access to a shared folder where someone could potentially change a dbc file for every staff member. This wasn't an issue with SAM v1.2.2.

9.1 replacement for Expires table tag to display pdf expiration date
The old web pages displayed an 'Expires' date on the table of electronically delivered articles. This let users know how long they had before they would have before the PDF disappeared.
There is no way to include this in the new 9.1 web pages since table tags are no longer supported. It would be great to have something to replace this, using DaysBeforeElectronicDeliveryCleanup and the transaction's tracking entries to determine when it was first Delivered to Web to calculate the expiration date.20 votes -
Enable exclusion of subdomain for integrated SAML - fix broken Logon as User functionality
Updating to the new integrated SAML prevents staff from utilizing the Logon as User button in the Client without redesigning the web directories.
The key that had been put in place to assist with circumventing proxy folder redirects - StaffProxyWebURL - will not work for integrated SAML sites when it its value is pointed to subdomains, the way it could with EZProxy.
Locally-hosted Shibboleth sites can set requireSession = false to support the Logon to User feature and LDAP and ILLiad Exclusive sites can use the feature without additional adjustments.
This means that sites who implement the integrated SAML are…

Increased Granularity in Web Circ Permissions by User
I would like to be able to restrict available actions in Web Circ by user. I would like to restrict our circ desk account from being able to do anything other than check out items. I think essentially I'd like the customization keys to be available on a by-user basis.

Transfer User Notes when merging users
When an existing user account is merged with an new one, in addition to moving the open requests, we would like any User Notes to be moved as well. We use these notes to track various issues with patron accounts and right now staff are manually copying each note.

Disable "end request routing"
I was wondering about the DOCLINE caveat that states a request canceled due to "Cost Exceeds Limit" would "end request routing.”
Is there some way to disable this? I have had to cancel requests that would've cost more than the patron was willing/able to pay, but I hate to think their search would end with us because of that.2 votes -
Prevent the submission of auto-truncated data in request forms
Summary by KAK: There isn't anything to indicate to users that their submissions will be truncated when they enter too many characters in request form fields. We've created a workaround by using the WebValidation table for PhotoJournalInclusivePages with a validation of ^$|^.{0,30}$ to represent the field is not required and may only be submitted when its character count is less than 30.

Google Scholar chromium version no longer authenticates using EZ Proxy URL
Former Scholar addon had a field where I put our custom Google Scholar URL that authenticates with EZ Proxy and shows which articles we have licensed access to. New version only searches "generic" Scholar which does not link to what we have access to (just paywalled stuff). When can you bring back this functionality? It's the only reason I used the addon.

Allow Layout Modification for Queues/Flags that are Currently Empty
It would be great to have some view in the client of all existing queues and flags, regardless of whether they currently have any requests in them, so that layout and customization of categories can be more thorough.

Make ILLiad Web Circulation's Checked out/in message more prominent
The current message saying a book was checked in or out is too similar to the text already on the page, and our students never notice it and get confused as to whether a book has actually been checked out. If it was even just bold, in red, or a little bit larger font, it would stand out a lot more.

Set maximum date range for Resumbit Request link in ILLiad web
To allow proper tracking of current requests, this option should have some sort of maximum time restriction, where it couldn't be used after a specific amount of days.

Change the default "Save as type" for Electronic Delivery from TIFF to PDF
Good to have a copy of files which wasn't sent via Odyssey and are sitting in ED. It will save processing time to save files form Electronic delivery.

Make the custom search condition add or subtract buttons visible all the time, not just when hovered over
Please make the custom search condition add or subtract buttons visible all the time again, instead of only when you hover over them!
I use custom search a lot both when searching OCLC for harder to find items, and when pulling statistics or answering questions from admin, and this change with 9.2 to no longer make these buttons visible makes things surprisingly difficult.

Allow editing in the Electronic Delivery window regardless of file type
For years I wondered why we could edit/crop some documents from the elec del window before delivering it to our patrons, and other documents we could not. An Atlas article explains that if the file is sent in PDF format, one cannot edit it in the viewer. Please enable the editing function regardless of file type as this is desired often - repeatedly on a daily basis.

Allow borrowing items to be checked in by Web Circ if they are awaiting Renewal or Recalled Processing
If items are in the "Awaiting Renewal Request Processing" (including "Awaiting Renewal OK Processing") or "Awaiting Recalled Processing" queues, they should be eligible for checkin via the Web Circ. As it stands, when patrons try to return books that are in one of those queues, they cannot be checked in and require intervention by ILL staff before they can be sent back.

Support copying lending request data from Docline web browser
ILLiad used to have a feature that would allow us to copy the Docline new lending requests page from a web browser and import them into ILLiad.
With recent changes to Google account security not working within ILLiad, and Microsoft accounts suddenly not being recognized by Docline, it would be great to be able to copy the page from a web browser. We do not have access to the other login options offered by Docline/NLM
As it stands, our only option is to copy each request line-by-line into a blank ILLiad form.

In the ILLiad scanning interface, allow function keys for B&W, grayscale, and RGB settings.
The ILLiad scanning interface already allows use of a Quick Scan Key to initiate a scan, but it's highly cumbersome to still mouse into Settings and switch the dropdown back and forth between B&W, grayscale, and RGB within a request. Could you create a functionality so that staff can program keyboard function keys for each of those color settings and easily switch between them when scanning?
