Add a notification to Aeon client for new signed-in users It would be great to have a notification in the Aeon cient for new signed-in users. We have our site set up so that the receptionist signs users into Aeon when they arrive, and then they walk upstairs to the reading room, where they are assigned a seat number by the reading room supervisor.
The reading room staff would find it helpful to get a pop-up notification for new signed-in users so they know when to expect people walking into the reading room.
We would want an alert every time they sign in, not just on the first visit.

Support for the Vantiv payment gateway The University of Chicago has switched to Vantiv credit card processing and would like Aeon to support that payment gateway.

Mark staff as inactive in staff manager It would be nice to have the ability to mark staff as Inactive in the staff client. Our staff list is starting to grow as people rotate through, especially students and project archivists. Marking staff inactive would allow us to filter the list, and also it could be a convenient way to prevent disable inactive accounts from logging in.

Print an invoice from any screen We would like to be able to print an invoice from any screen (like you can for a callslip) instead of having to open each request, open the billing tab, and them print the invoice.

Allow users to upload their own files to their own transactions Some sites allow users to take their own photos while in the reading room. They may find it useful to upload those photos to the transaction / their own account, so they can keep track of which photos were for which items.

Add integration for requesting from Hyrax UCSC is in the process of creating a new Hyrax based Digital Asset Management System to replace our current system, CONTENTdm. We're at the stage that we're starting to look at implementing Aeon within the new DAMS and would like to option to add a request link to Hyrax. http://hyr.ax/

Permit scheduling of recurring Web Alerts We want to schedule our "Reminder: no paging on Saturdays" web alert to display on Fridays and Saturdays only. Currently, we have to move the Active Date and Expiration Date by hand each week.

Keyboard Shortcut to close forms It would be helpful to have a keyboard shortcut command to close the active form to keep the clicking to a minimum when working with large groups of requests. It would also be very helpful for the reading room check-in process.

Allow users in the Staff Manager to delete grid settings for multiple staff at once Currently, grid settings have to be deleted individually for each user in the Staff Manager. If a change is made to the layout template and grid settings need to be cleared, it can be cumbersome and time-consuming to select each staff person individually and click Delete Grid Settings. The option to select multiple staff and clear grid settings for all users selected would be preferable.

Ability to search on a single day other than today or yesterday using custom search When creating a custom search in the staff client, if you are searching on a date field, currently there is no way to search on a single day unless it is today or yesterday. Sometimes I need to create a query of all requests that came in on a specific day, for example last Friday, and there is not a way to easily do this unless you select a range of days and then filter the results.

Clean "Unable to determine StateCode for ID 999" from the Aeon DLL logs There are several places where this message appears. It makes diagnosing other actual errors harder because of the clutter in the logs.

Add the option to clone requests to the activity form processing ribbon Staff would like the ability to clone multiple requests from an activity to an individual user in bulk. A current workaround is to clone the activity, select the appropriate requests to clone to the new user, then when the requests are created, clear the association to the activity and delete the activity, but this is pretty cumbersome.

When in Duplication Order Grids, add Print Call Slip to the standard ribbon It is common for us to pull an item from the stacks because a remote user has requested a duplication order, and we manage these workflows through the Order queues/grids, however, we have to open individual requests to print call slips, or leave this grid view and look for those requests in a Request queue/grid. It would be GREAT if printing the call slip was something that could be done for both individual requests, and multiple requests in this grid view.

Schedule Staff Notifications in Aeon Client We have recently been thinking about how we can improve our staff communications in the Reading Room. We often have instances where staff need to be alerted to special arrangements, updates or events in the Reading Room in a timely manner.
It occurred to me that the functionality we are looking for is much like that available in the Aeon system when alert pop-ups occur for new requests for processing and users waiting to be cleared.
It would be ideal if editable alerts could be scheduled so that when staff log in to the Aeon Client, a pop-up appears with…

Integrate Aeon activities with course reserves Sites would like the ability to integrate activities with course reserves software. Specifically make materials used in classes visible in Blackboard, etc.
Also, a means to manage Ares/Aeon interoperability, specifically the ability to scan and place images of special collections materials on Reserve (sending records between to two systems) for class assignments, so as to not overwhelm the reading room when a large class is assigned to do something in SPEC as an assignment.

Remove unnecessary tabindex=0 on inputs because they're redundant tabindex=0 adds an html element to the tab order. By default, inputs are already focusable, so they do not need a tabindex=0.
Note: the tabindex=0 should also be removed from any elements that do not explicitly need to be focusable via tab. Screen readers users will be able to reach the text regardless whether it is in the tab order or not. It'll likely just confused keyboard users.

Modify request validation in the web to better support non-transaction fields. - Add RequestLink to Keep in Review form (replace with correct page name)
- In-place request validation should ignore non-transaction fields for Keep in Review page but should consider them when submitting for processing.

Specify a hold location in its own field for each item Sites could benefit from a "hold location" field in the Transactions table for each item. When the item is placed on the hold shelf, staff can designate that location (similar to choosing a table when signing a person into the reading room). That value would then display in the grid for all items on hold and would automatically clear when the item was checked back in without staff having to remember to clear it.

Rather than using additional queues or flags, we could create separate customizable functionality to allow you to specify a hold location when you click the Item on Hold button or use the Item on Hold batch process. Would this be an acceptable solution?
