  5. Don't allow two users to be assigned to the same seat

    The system currently allows multiple users to be assigned to the same seat, thus creating possible confusion while the patron is in the room, but, more importantly, compromising our security efforts and ability to retrospectively reconstruct reader behavior, etc., in the case of a security event.

  7. Make certain drop down fields select only (doesn't allow typing a value)

    If the location value desired is not there, staff are typing in a value versus correcting the drop down list.

  8. Increase the granularity of staff client permissions

    Examples of permission limitations that sites need are necessary. Are staff limited from editing or viewing? Would a web interface with only certain available tasks fix the issue?

  9. Add a tooltip or other message to the Actions dropdown when a user does not own the request.

    When a user is associated with a proxy or an activity, they can see the associated requests but cannot manage them. The Actions menu will appear blank as no action can be taken. For clarity, a tooltip or other message should display here indicating the user cannot manage requests they did not create.

  10. Make cancellation and other status lines editable for payment gateway transactions

    The cancel statuses that display if a payment has been cancelled are not always clear to the patron. Sites would like to be able to edit these message, but they are currently controlled by the DLL. It would be helpful to move these to the HTML code so they can be customized as needed,

  11. Create an email to send automatically to patrons to notify them their Aeon account is expiring.

    Create a new default email template to send automatically to patrons to notify them their Aeon account is going to expire.

    Add key to Customization Manager so sites can decide whether to use this email or not.

  12. Open electronically delivered items in separate tab or window

    Add the functionality to have the electronically delivered file(s) open in a separate tab or window in the web browser. This way the user can still have their Aeon account viewable.

  13. Queue-specific filters

    I'd like to be able to create a filter that is unique in our Staff Template to unique queues. Right now any time I have a filter applied, the filter automatically applies to any other queue, but for certain queues it would be helpful, for instance, to automatically only view a single day's requests.

  14. Allow users to clear all search boxes on dashboard from quick access toolbar

    Currently, each search box on the dashboard (users, requests, actviites) has to be reset/cleared individually or by clicking the reset option from the bottom half of the search button. It would be convenient to provide a "clear all" option from the quick access toolbar that would quickly reset all search boxes to blank.

  15. User ability to extend/renew hold online

    Our users would like the ability to extend/renew their holds online. We currently extend holds upon request in the reading room but for off-site materials it would be helpful for users to be able to do this without visiting the reading room.

  17. Have "Clone and Finish" button not only for items in "Item checked out" status, but also other statuses.

    Right now, this can only be done when the item is in "Item Checked out" but, this leads to many requests that languish in "Awaiting Item Reshelving" because people forget to finish. This would solve that! Thanks.

  18. Accessibility for Aeon?

    Hi, I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but is there any information about Aeon accessibility for people with disabilities? We have to do an accessibility audit, and the person I'm working with did a quick look and said he already saw problems.

  19. Ability to edit default batch process options

    We'd love to be able to edit the starting status and end status of the default batch process options (Check Out, Place on Hold, Reshelve Item, Item Reshelved, Item Delivered.) The default batch process rules don't recognize any custom queues, so whenever we process requests with a custom status it triggers a pop-up warning that the status is non-standard. Having to click through the pop-up each time really slows down our workflows.

  20. Populate scheduled date as current date on New Request form in client.

    Currently, when a staff person clicks the New Request for User button in the Aeon Staff Client (from a user record), the scheduled date field is blank. Most sites require this field for a request and find it would be useful to have this field populate when requests are submitted in the client, as well.
