  1. Allow reading rooms to be reordered in Appointment Scheduling tab

    The order in which reading rooms are created dictates how they display in the Reading Room dropdown on the web pages. Add support to drag the reading rooms to change the display order.

  3. Add additional Aeon fields for Z39.50 mapping

    Boston Public Library is importing their item barcode from their Polaris catalog into Aeon via Z39.50. They would like to be able to map the barcode value to the Aeon Item Number field, which is not currently possible. There is also an ILLiad UserVoice asking for this feature: https://uservoice.atlas-sys.com/forums/581665-illiad-ideas/suggestions/39458122-add-additional-result-mapping-options-for-z39-50

  5. Increase size for file transfer

    Increase the current file size beyond 2GB so that orders do not have to be broken up. Milwaukee Public Library currently maintains a paid subscription to another service that is redundant, but does not have the same file size limits. It would be great to eliminate this subscription if Aeon could handle larger file sizes.

  6. Enable the addition of custom fields on callslip and the other mailmerge documents

    Information kept in custom fields should be included in the options to add to printcallslip, printrequest, etc.

  8. Aeon client - custom search using 'any of' does not allow for editing of criteria

    Boston Public Library created a custom search based on requests being at one of several identified transaction statuses. After building the search, they realized they wanted to omit one of the selected transaction statuses. There was no way to do this. They had to delete the search and rebuild it from scratch.

  9. Ability to verify valid email addresses when patrons register

    Boston Public Library would like to make sure that patrons add a valid, working email address when registering in Aeon. This goes beyond web validation for email address formatting; they would like for Aeon to be able to send an email validation to the patron to confirm that it is their email address.

  10. Add support for full-day appointments

    Allow sites to require patrons to book a full-day appointment (1 slot for 1 seat in a day) and improve the interface display for booking appointments when a full-day appointment is offered.

  12. In Staff Manager separate option to reset staff's view of Queues and Queue groupings from Grid settings

    If you make adjustments to the Staff Template specific to the Queue listing (Home tab), the only way to apply that is to use the Delete Grid options which will also clear out any column order or customization that staff have done to the Q view in their own client. If there were another way to do this it would be very helpful.

  13. Add functionality to display a field (including custom fields) when RequestFor is populated with an activity.

    When a user submitting a request selects an activity from the Request For dropdown, allow additional fields to display to ask for Date Needed or other data related to activity requests. This relates specifically to sites using appointments, where the appointment fields are hidden when an activity is selected.

  14. Add the ability to clone appointments to other dates through the staff client

    I find that it can be helpful to clone previous appointments to a patron, with the adjustment of expected appointment date. This can save steps vs creating a new from scratch.

  16. Ability to batch edit requests

    We would appreciate being able to batch edit requests. I'm sure there are other batch editing use cases, but one that occurs regularly for us if the need to add the same note to multiple request tickets. It can take quite a bit of time to open/edit multiple tickets. In addition to the ability to batch edit various notes fields, adding/updating the scheduled date field would also be useful.

  17. Exclude closed days from lead day counts

    When patrons make requests the day before regular closures, closed days are counted as lead days, so materials may not be available in time for patron appointment.

  18. Extend length of status lines

    Currently, status line text has a character limit (255?) but this is often not long enough, especially if links are included in the text, as the href code is included in the character count. Status lines should be set to longer character length.

  19. Ability for staff to view uploaded reproduction in staff client

    The University of Baltimore would like for staff to be able to view the reproduction that was delivered to the patron. They would like a "View" button, similar to the one that already exists for uploading other documentation to the request and user records. They do not want all staff accounts to have access to the "Logon to web" button, and the proposed View button would also be more convenient.

  20. Appointments: Remove start and stop time fields

    The University of Baltimore requires appointments for patron requesting, but would like to remove the start and stop fields from the appointment form. This will allow staff to have more flexibility with controlling access to the reading room. The appointment configuration fields in the customization manager are not fined-tuned enough to allow for per-visit/per-case flexibility.
