Aeon Appointments: Add a way to handle schedule changes in advance
Ex: We are going to have renovations this summer and we will shift the Wednesday hours from 11-6, with lunch recess from 1-2 to 10am-5pm with lunch from 12-1. I want to only change the calendar for the 3 months of summer. My concern is that if I change the official reading room schedule it will impact the availability in the fall and other people planning their future visits to the library outside of our altered summer schedule.
The only current workaround for this is to update the open hours and then create exceptions for all dates that do not currently fit that schedule. This is onerous…

Prompt patron to update password when registration is expired
The University of Tulsa would like for patrons to be prompted to change their password at the same time they are renewing their expired account.

Add new database fields for Pronouns and Accessibility Needs to User table
Not all institutions will want or be able to store this data, but these fields should be made available for those that do wish to store this information.

Add ability to change language for cancellations on the web
In the cancelled list of requests in the web Aeon account, the reason for cancellation says 'Cancelled by Customer' (this is hard-coded and not a reason for cancellation that we can change). We would love to be able to change the language because we do not refer to our patrons/researchers as customers and it might be confusing as well.

Edit invalid appointment time
The error message users get when trying to create an appointment outside of valid hours currently it says: "Validation error: Conflict with existing appointment."
This status message comes from the Aeon DLL and cannot be edited. It would be great if this was added as a configurable status message in the Customization Manager.

Add more granular location data mapping to ArchivesSpace Fulfillment Plugin
Some institutions would like to bring isolated location data from ArchivesSpace into Aeon. Consider adding mapping for location coordinate label 1, coordinate indicator 1, coordinate label 2, coordinate indicator 2, coordinate label 3, coordinate indicator 3, (6 fields total) to allow for more discrete location information.

Photoduplication - block requests once a patron has reached a page limit
From the University of Tulsa: Some of our collections contain huge troves of unpublished manuscripts, which has caused issues with copyright violations. Patrons can request scans of up to 200 pages from a single collection in a 6-month period. Is there a feature that will help us automate that policy? Flagging accounts, or blocking those requests from going through once the system records that a patron has successfully received a certain page count, or even stopping the request before it goes to submission?

Merging users: ability to key in letters to find user records or search for names
If I am not mistaken, the Merge Users function appears to require me to scroll through two (very long, in our case) lists of accounts, and click "Merge" only after having highlighted the duplicate accounts -- one on the left side and one on the right.
It's time consuming to do this -- so maybe there could be a search bar at the top of both lists, where you can enter the first few letters of any given names.
And/or: you could have the ability to enter the first few letters of the name to bring you to that record.…

Pop-up instructions post-submission of a request form
Would it be possible to have a pop-up or some sort of predictive instructions so that when a user fills out an Aeon request form and submits it, a pop-up asks the user 'do you want to fill out another request? Yes or no?" and if 'yes,' brings the user back to the same request form as before, and if 'no,' brings the user to the Home screen or another page in the account. We have users who fill out a request form and then do not know how to get back to the form to fill out additional requests…

Increase size for file transfer
Increase the current file size beyond 2GB so that orders do not have to be broken up. Milwaukee Public Library currently maintains a paid subscription to another service that is redundant, but does not have the same file size limits. It would be great to eliminate this subscription if Aeon could handle larger file sizes.

Add support for full-day appointments
Allow sites to require patrons to book a full-day appointment (1 slot for 1 seat in a day) and improve the interface display for booking appointments when a full-day appointment is offered.

In Staff Manager separate option to reset staff's view of Queues and Queue groupings from Grid settings
If you make adjustments to the Staff Template specific to the Queue listing (Home tab), the only way to apply that is to use the Delete Grid options which will also clear out any column order or customization that staff have done to the Q view in their own client. If there were another way to do this it would be very helpful.

Clearance status in the Appointments tab in the client
In the Appointments tab, agenda view, you can currently see the researcher's name, user name, time slot, and number of requests. It would be helpful for there to also be an indication of their clearance status (perhaps with a column for cleared/not cleared, or by using a different text color or background shading for the different statuses). That way, it would be easy to look at the day's researchers and get a feel for how many are new, versus returning. Perhaps clearance status can show up in all the available views if possible.

Segmented request limits, per location
For sites with multiple sites, it would be great to set segmented request limits per location instead of one shared request limit across all locations.

Automatically filter out disavowed users from user search
When a user has created multiple accounts, one account will be disavowed via the user merge process. However, that account is typically listed first in search results. When a disavowed user's account is selected in a grid, the special highlighting/text color does not persist. Thus it is easy for staff to get confused and click the wrong user record. It would be helpful to have a button like the Active/All requests toggle, set to active by default, to automatically filter disavowed users out of search results to minimize confusion and prevent staff from re-clearing disavowed users.

Activities - include Activity ID in activities tab view of active activities
The University of Pittsburgh has adapted the batch import template to allow for the import of requests into more than one activity. They did that by adding the activity ID field to the template. It would be easier to get the activity IDs if they were included in the fields that display when a staff person clicks on the Activities tab in the staff client and views the current activities. From this view, the table can be exported to Excel. It would be helpful if the activity ID was included in the export. The Activity ID field is not currently…
